Richard, we’ve been labelled “nerds” for getting this joke.
For those who don’t “get it”, try listening to the original radio commentary of the crash of the Hindenburg. Listen to Version 1 where, after doing the promotion for American Airlines, the announcer is shocked by the speed of the conflagration and eventually cries “Oh, the humanity!”
Jokes are never as funny when they have to be explained…
