		<description>Channel 9 (and some other free to air stations I recall) not so long ago tried to stop a PVR getting sold here. Why. Advertising could be skipped. I never heard what the outcome was. 

The fact they tried though shows they are unprepared for what's to come. It's similar to the music industry. Rather than embrace new tech, they tried to halt it so they could take control of it or wipe it out completely. Neither happened there and neither will happen in the case of TV.</description>
