I don’t want to pre-empt a longer piece I’m doing about my experiences with Twitter so far, but I seem to be using it in three ways: quick status updates, observations that hardly require a blog post but are still worth recording, and conversation. The first two are worth keeping (at least in some form) because they may come in handy — and in the rapidly-changing world of Web 3.0-alpha2 (yes, saw your other comment, love it) Twitter may not be around for long — but the others really are ephemeral.

Maybe the answer is to use Twitter Tools or something similar to create the daily digest, but put them somewhere else, outside the main stream of blog entries.

It’s like listening to someone talking on the phone, you only eavesdrop on half the conversation.

And what’s the motive? Anyone keen enough to read these can click through to your feed. Archiving?

Two sentence summary — let me think about it. I am actually still at work, kind of working.

Stressful journey north:
Children chatter in sunlight,
Then south, bored on train.
