Pottering at my desk as I wrap up the main part of the working day. Gym abandoned: will need to do some work things later.

via Twitter Web Client

@mpesce My feed is unlocked. But then I don’t tweet anything which I’d be unhappy for others to see. Open and transparent.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@mpesce is whoring his Twitterstream so if you want the great guru’s words of wisdom just message @mpesce and there shall be joy.

Hunkering down to work on client proposal.

via Twitter Web Client

Rearranged office on Sunday. Now cannot find client’s hard-copy info needed for proposal I’m writing today. Nor bank deposit book. FAIL.

via Twitter Web Client

@mpesce Both Thomas Hobbes and John Birmingham have written a “Leviathan”. They are different books. Do not confuse them. Or do. You choose.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@mpesce John Birmingham’s “Leviathan”, a biography of Sydney, spends 15pp in Vietnam before hitting Oz. Keep the Paleolithic scene-setter!

@purecaffeine retweet: “I could just watch the animation on the home page of this new search engine all day; so cute!” http://redzee.com/

@bck The pubic lice story came via me. I can usually be relied upon to be tasteless.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to bck

“I have pubic lice in my mailbox.” Ah, there’s my story of the day! http://is.gd/cYd

Does your application need more than 30Mb/sec bandwidth? No? Then the Internet is just fine. http://is.gd/cXR

Average web page users have time to read 20% of the words on the page… AT MOST. 20% is more likely. http://is.gd/cF3

My mate Rhys at The Plastic Age has new books of cartoons out. which are kinda funky. http://is.gd/cXu [@ssharwood Did I just do hypocrisy?]

via Twitter Web Client

@ssharwood When I look thru the Twitterwindow onto my world, I don’t want anyone waving a placard in my face. No matter how infrequently.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to ssharwood

@trib If you want to stay in touch you should start using this thing… oh, it’s called the innerwet or something.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to trib

@ssharwood I’d have zero tolerance for tweeted ads, would route my feed thru filter to remove them. I would, however, pay for good service.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to ssharwood

@plasmaegg Mark Bahnisch / Lavartus Prodeo is certainly deserving of support too. A damn fine political commentator. Wish I had $ to help.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to plasmaegg

Politics blog Lavartus Prodeo experimented with advertising. Here’s their analysis of the first month. http://is.gd/cX1

@leslien I usually post the link to Twitter *before* I actually read it. It helps: I get warnings like yours that I’m wasting my time!

via Twitter Web Client

@leslien I just post the links, I don’t explain the content of their destination… ;) Anyway, why let lack of knowledge get in the way?

via Twitter Web Client

@purecaffeine My reading is appallingly behind. :(

@Fifikins Eek! Phillip Satchell, now 70yo and a grandfather, is a father again. From Oct 2007: http://is.gd/doX

via Twitter Web Client in reply to Fifikins

@mediajorge Well I suppose I’ve done worse things to myself in public… ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mediajorge

@Fifikins I was Philip Satchell’s producer on 5AN for 3 years. How I managed not to strangle him is beyond me. I’ll try to find a photo.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to Fifikins

Eeek! @stilgherrian will you please stop talking to @stilgherrian, he’s strange.

via Twitter Web Client

@purecaffeine Yeah I should do an audio production session at the next PodCamp or BarCamp or wherever.

via Twitter Web Client

@stilgherrian Also did what would now be called podcasts for a couple of little mom’n’pop firms called Telstra and IBM.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to stilgherrian

@purecaffeine I was a broadcast producer for ABC Radio for 7 years, engineered many outside broadcasts. Will use headset mic (for now).

via Twitter Web Client

@purecaffeine They’ll be published regardless of technical quality. I’ll be blogging about how the faults were fixed etc.

via Twitter Web Client

@purecaffeine Cool. I hope you or a few others actually “call” in vie video to harass me. Talkback TV on the Internet is the aim.

via Twitter Web Client

First guests for my live program tonight: @adampurcell and/or @jaredmadden re their http://tune-out.com campaign. http://is.gd/dot

Thu plan: read etc until 0800; finish client proposal; 1500 present client proposal at Mosman; prep for Stilgherrian Live Alpha 2130 AEST.

@garthk Oh I slept a bit, and now I’m up again. The Muse is with me so I go with her flow. Two big things to do today, then it’s easy.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to garthk

Emerging. Up late, then up early. insomnia. But then I hope to fix that on Friday.

via Twitter Web Client

Still wasting time… insomnia… whatever. :)

via Twitter Web Client

Currently wasting time fiddling with graphics for my program instead of sleeping.

Dear Twitterverse, the document used in live TV production showing video, audio and script content in 3 columns is called… what? Sample?

via Twitter Web Client

@mpesce I do like the idea of Senator Conroy as permanent object of derision. Tho we do have Julie Bishop for that. http://is.gd/d6r

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@deanlk Segments like “Unrealised Potential (ideas)” are good, yes. All being noted. If they don’t make the alpha series… ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to deanlk

Hmmm… Maybe Senator Conroy will be my choice for the first Knut of the Week. ;)

via Twitter Web Client

@mpesce Heh! Senator Conroy is almost the Invisible Man at the moment. Community radio has been abandoned in the surge to digital.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@4fthawaiian Lazy sod. :) I’m pondering topics for my first broadcast tomorrow. http://is.gd/cUy Not IT stuff (necessarily).

via Twitter Web Client in reply to 4fthawaiian

I dunno why I’m asking NOW, ‘cos when I did this stuff every day you’d decide a couple hours before airtime.

via Twitter Web Client

@neerav The range of topics will probably match the material I blog and tweet about (oddly enough).

via Twitter Web Client in reply to neerav

@neerav I don’t want it to be about IT though. There’s enough geeks talking to geeks about geekery already.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to neerav

@neerav Interesting ideas. iPhone will be overdone, tho. eBay/PayPal isn’t at right point in news cycle. Budget? Maybe! Sen Conroy, yes! Ta.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to neerav

The program will talk/talkback style, so what do you think the big topics of the week are? Need to choose 3 or 4.

via Twitter Web Client

Currently exploring content ideas for my first broadcast tomorrow night. This morning’s post explains all. http://is.gd/cUy

via Twitter Web Client

@leslien Just a video of them barking like a dog? I mean, I do that in the street all the time. Just ask @ApostrophePong … he endures it.

via Twitter Web Client

@mpesce Unlocking Twitter *should* get you more followers: the barrier of having to ask is gone. “If I message, what will he think?”

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

Media Watch this week is on the future of Journalism. 12 mins worth watching. http://is.gd/d47 Also extended versions of interviews.

via Twitter Web Client

@mpesce promniounced my name perfectly… which is what I’d have thought since we *have* actually met.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@andrewbarnett They taste more like the bottom of the garbage bin after throwing out leftover Sauerkraut three days earlier.

via Twitter Web Client

@allisonr I don’t sound like my tweets? How do my tweets sound?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to allisonr

No, even on a second try, Wasabi Coated Anchovies are disgusting. And the gods know I’ve had some odd-tasting things in my mouth.

via Twitter Web Client

Trying Wasabi Coated Anchovies… They’re… crunchy… sour… salty… not much wasabi… possibly truly disgusting. I’ll try another…

via Twitter Web Client

@4fthawaiian Cheers I love the Twitterverse. Ask and it’s done. MP3 version now linked from “About Stilgherrian”. http://is.gd/d3N

via Twitter Web Client in reply to 4fthawaiian

@ApostrophePong just got home and handed me a jar of Shing Shang brand Wasabi Coated Anchovies. Product of Thailand. Dare I open it?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to ApostrophePong

OK. I’ve added pronunciation guide audio to “About Stilgherrian”. http://is.gd/d3N It’s a .mov, if someone wants to make an MP3 go for it.

via Twitter Web Client

@allisonr @Fifikins @mpesce No, “gair” like hair is right… stil_GAIR-ree-un. I should put a sample online…

via Twitter Web Client in reply to allisonr

@allisonr Did @mpesce mispronounce me? Haven’t watched the video yet, I read the web version so knew the words. I’m not fussed tho.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to allisonr

@mpesce Well I’ll be going and will report back. But others plus lunch before/after would always be entertaining. Laws or no laws.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@allisonr No, that’s a lunchtime seminar at UNSW’s Cyberspace Law and Policy Centre. Speaker is Pierre-Paul Lemyre from Uni of Montreal.
