@dotarray Hi and welcome to my Twitterworld. You’re from Adelaide, do I know you? :)

@oliverw I see no need to watch Steve at 3am when I can’t ACT on the info until normal news cycles anyway. I am not a feral goldfish.

@bengrubb Not much on my blog lately because balance has swung bad to more billable hours for paying clients. Only a few days to go.

@DJPoyner Yes you’re right. Vista in full-screen mode on the Mac is disturbing. At a deep moral level. I am strong of spirit though! (Gin.)

Dear Google, your Google Earth mechanism deployed ‘pon a new MacBook Pro and 13Mb/sec data link is, as locals might say, fucking excellent.

Note to self: So much for being off-grid for the bulk of the long weekend! [sigh]

@mpesce Yes, “open=good, closed=bad” is something WE took on board ages ago. But others like, say, the Rudd government may not have yet.

@mpesce Is there a decent 1-page summary of the book’s themes somewhere? I don’t want to read a WHOLE book if it misses the point.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

I’ve decided that seeing Vista being installed in a window on my MacBook Pro is less creepy than this morning’s incident.

@mpesce I think I decided NOT to read Zittrains’ book because why would I want to STOP the future?

Installing Microsoft Vista on my MacBook Pro (under VMware Fusion). It feels… uncomfortable at first, perhaps even a bit painful.

@SilkCharm He should talk about how calling it “digital economy” puts everything thru the prism of money, when it should be about society.

@garthk Well, I know one Apple fan-boy who rented his arse to get $ to buy the first iPod, so he’ll be channelling Steve live at all times.

@hwakelam Two of my suppliers use Constant Contact, so it’s “good” for them I suppose. Depends what YOU want to do with it though.

@4fthawaiian Read @jeffsonstein in conjunction with @SnarkyPlatypus. There’s some tool which can combine them. Those two must never meet. ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to 4fthawaiian

@4fthawaiian Yes I am fairly sure that @jeffsonstein was to blame for that bit of misinformation.

@happytwitday No, it’s not MY birthday. It’s the official birthday of Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Australia. Silly robot.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to happytwitday

@mindykoch Ah yes @mpesce is to blame for a lot of things, tho perhaps not for me. ;) Glad you’re enjoying the journey.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mindykoch

@mindykoch Welcome to my Twitterworld. How did I happen to blip up on you radar, may I ask?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mindykoch

Monday. Queen’s Birthday Holiday. And it’s not even Liz’s actual birthday. Sydney is fogbound. Photo later. A day of pottering at my desk.
