Google’s top “what is” search for 2009? “What is Twitter”.

via Cloudhopper

Google party: now explaining their leadership in dunny data.

via Cloudhopper

@FixedR6 Put it this way, I’m not THAT desperate an alcoholic or Google fan that I really NEED to stay for Yet Another Event.

via Twitter Web Client

Can I be arsed waiting around?

via Twitter Web Client

Apparently I am not “elite” either.

via Twitter Web Client

Excellent. Original notice for Google party said 5pm. It’s actually 6pm. Oh well, at least it’s pleasant waiting by the Harbour.

via Twitter Web Client

RT @theburgerman: RT @Simon_Cullen: Journo to Bob Hawke: “What kind of leader do you think Abbott will be?” Hawke: “Temporary”.

via Twitter Web Client

@ApostrophePong Don’t you mean THIS photo of me? http://bit.ly/5V04wy Maybe not appropriate for ZDNet.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to ApostrophePong

@erkpod Heh! There’s no 6th floor at the ABC in Perth, However ABC Canberra broadcasts on 666 kHz. http://bit.ly/5Ivp1D

via Twitter Web Client in reply to erkpod

RT @jasonlangenauer: Sir Winton Turnbull: “I’m a Country member!”; Gough Whitlam (in reply): “I remember!”.

via Twitter Web Client

@erkpod And “sisxth” is the most unique number of all! ;)

via Twitter Web Client

@erkpod AFAIK, studio “226” = “2” for Sydney, “2” for second floor, “6” for sisxth one along the corridor. Unique numbers nationally.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to erkpod

@wendy_hogan People Google “google” because they don’t differentiate between the search box and the address bar.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to wendy_hogan

Now waiting in ABC studio 226 for my spot on Statewide NSW at 1615 http://bit.ly/20lQJh

via Twitter Web Client

@engochick True, at school you have to fit in or be ridiculed. But they all looked and sounded the same! ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to engochick

But, to those who suggested “like” as an irritation, “like” is actually punctuation! ;)

via Twitter Web Client

At ABC Ultimo, perusing Fran Kelly’s photo. And Phillip Adams’. One is more moistmaking than the other. A little.

via Cloudhopper

I think all these schoolgirls were cloned in the same vat. “That’s so random!” they say, repeatedly, without irony.

via Cloudhopper

Mobile: Enmore Rd; bus to ABC Ultimo; 1530 record for Radio National breakfast; 1615 Statewide NSW on privacy; 1700+ Google media party.

via Twitter Web Client

Earlier I RTd a tweet about backbencher saying election Aug-Oct 2010. I’ve been reminded that backbenchers are not in the loop.

via Twitter Web Client

@NathanaelB The wager is on whether the next federal election will be double dissolution, whenever it is, as opposed to another kind.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to NathanaelB

Centrebet’s current odds on a double dissolution election, $1.50 for yes, $2.37 for no.

via Twitter Web Client

Centrebet’s odds on Coalition winning next federal election blow out to $5.15, Labor at $1.14 to win.

via Twitter Web Client

RT @D_Keating: I have it on decent authority that it will be an August/October election next year. Was given away by a local MP…

via Twitter Web Client

@renailemay “Nobody’s safe?” ROFL! Is that a license to kill? http://bit.ly/5II0B9

via Twitter Web Client in reply to renailemay

RT @ABCElections: Antony Green on possible election timetables: http://bit.ly/7zl90f

via Twitter Web Client

RT @bjkraal: I think Laruent Haug’s idea of “publicy” is more interesting: http://bit.ly/8xliLb [Agreed! Thank you.]

via Twitter Web Client

Consensus seems to be to explain how little privacy there is online but that commerce is “safe” enough, precautions etc.

via Twitter Web Client

@JonoH Oh Happy Birthday, Sir! Do have one for me!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to JonoH

@Allyeska Thank you. Not sure how long the narwhal will stay. It was a momentary thing but I’m told it’s my “backup totem animal”.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to Allyeska

Thanks @wolfcat @kristinmoore2 @KingLeonard @DemonicVel @mediajorge @CassieST @alexkidman for the suggestions. Will summarise in a bit.

via Twitter Web Client

My spot on ABC Radio Statewise NSW today is about privacy on the Internets. Whaddyareckon I should tell the punters?

via Twitter Web Client

@neil_twit Heh! Well I’ve asked SE Rentals to have another look and come back to me with a “more reasonable” offer.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to neil_twit

That and the copy of the T&Cs SE Rentals provided is illegible, so how was I meant to know that? I shall be fighting this.

via Twitter Web Client

Warning re SE Rentals. 36-month equipment lease about to end, but they extended it 6 months because I didn’t notify them 6 mo ago!

via Twitter Web Client

@abcnews And I’ll add my voice to the congrats for a very smooth 2.5 hours of coverage. And thank you as always for the online stream.

via Twitter Web Client

@abcnews Please put the full Turnbull & Abbott pressers online, and/or maybe that whole 2.5 hours onto iView.

via Twitter Web Client

RT @unsungsongs: RT @robcorr: Get your official Tony Abbott campaign poster here: http://twitpic.com/rn3u8

via Twitter Web Client

Adjourned. Time for email.

via Cloudhopper

Waiting quietly in a courtroom. Suits, scribbling pens, hushed conversations. We await the Registrar’s reappearance.

via Cloudhopper

Man next to me has a bulbous growth on his nose and hairy arms. He reads CNN Money on his iPhone. Intently.

via Cloudhopper

Mobile: Enmore Rd; bus to Sydney CBD; 0945 begin the morning of legalistic pleasures. Attention seriously depleted.

via Twitter Web Client

@phildobbie Good to meet you too, Mr Dobbie. Well met! More soon…

via Twitter Web Client in reply to phildobbie

@craigthomler Well, @Annabel crabb’s new title at the ABC is “chief political writer”. Close enough?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to craigthomler

Latest voting: I can’t be arsed counting properly, but narwhal beats seagull today, despite strong arguments. Democracy. Suck it up, people.

via Twitter Web Client

Wasn’t “The Drum” the old name of Triple J’s current affairs program, what’s now “Hack”?

via Twitter Web Client

@zhasper Nothing more was said about Google and the Dunny Data than is already in this story. http://bit.ly/5dFCVK

via Twitter Web Client in reply to jamezpolley

@SnarkyPlatypus If you like Julie Bishop as Zsa Zsa, try these three pics at the Stepford Deputy! http://bit.ly/5smqg9

via Twitter Web Client in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@firstdogonmoon I think something “interesting” can be done with this photo of Julie Bishop. http://bit.ly/5smqg9

via Twitter Web Client

Also, @penbo reckons Tony Abbott might not be such a bad move for the Liberals. http://bit.ly/5zgEBE

via Twitter Web Client

Finally caught @annabelcrabb’s profile of Tony Abbott. Thought-provoking. http://bit.ly/5DU3tO

via Twitter Web Client

Votes so far: goose 1; narwhal 2; seagull 2; Tony Abbott 1. Unless Tony Abbott is the goose, in which case it’s a 3-way tie.

via Twitter Web Client

@ireckon If that is a vote for the goose then perhaps the goose may be people’s choice. Should I add the panda or the teapot?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to ireckon

Wed plan: Difficult morning in Sydney CBD involving lawyers; lunch in CBD; record “A Series of Tubes”; late afternoon & evening TBA.

via Twitter Web Client

Which is more masculine and indicative of success? The seagull or the narwhal?

via Twitter Web Client

@SnarkyPlatypus Je me ceindre les reins avec tout ce qui pourrait être commode. Animale, minérale ou végétale

via Twitter Web Client in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@SnarkyPlatypus Bonjour. Je suis ceindre mes reins. Aussi, boire du café. Et vous?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@sylmobile No idea what time I’m on the wireless, was pre-recorded to fit in between live spots as needed. May have already happened.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to sylmobile

Well, it’s a good thing I was up early to deal with that little systems administration problem. Sigh. I need minions.

via Twitter Web Client

Emerges. Which is a shame.

via Twitter Web Client

Attempt-to-sleep time. I have a battle in the morning, and it’s not the piece I’m doing on ABC Radio National Breakfast. ;) [exit]

via Twitter Web Client

Ah! @MargaretSimons interviews @sophblack about Crikey’s future under her leadership. http://bit.ly/8i9fXC

via Twitter Web Client

@zhasper Yes, Google got the national toilet geodata. Win.

via Twitter Web Client

@anthonybaxter I am home now, but I shall have to get a photo of the GIANT ANTLERS.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to anthonybaxter

Word is northbound lanes on the Sydney Harbour Bridge are no-go from both Western Distrubutor and Cahill Expressway due to roadworks.

via Cloudhopper

The Ancient Briton Hotel in Glebe has a giant reindeer on the side of the building with ENORMOUS ANTLERS!
