@WoollyMittens I’m a “voice of reason”? I think I need the drugs you’re on, they seem stronger than mine.

Andm “Patch Monday” is recorded and edited. Jut have to do the final mix. I think that can happen after a cuppa.

@feneleyinlondon In other words, SOME people claiming to speak for “new media” have over-blown rhetoric, and the rest of us suffer.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to rozelleview

@feneleyinlondon There’s many different views of “new media”. There are over-blown hype-merchant scenarios, but not everyone agrees.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to rozelleview

@feneleyinlondon Even at micro level with ~3500 Twitter followers I can’t respond to every question and still generate new ideas or work.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to rozelleview

@feneleyinlondon My very point. The ABC is NOT micro. 50,000 audience cannot ALL be asking “What do you X think of Y?” and be answered.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to rozelleview

@feneleyinlondon There is indeed much hype. But everyone asking individual questions of specific producers doesn’t scale past micro-media.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to rozelleview

@Westpac But thank you for suspending Internet banking access immediately something suspicious happened. That I DO like. Safe, sorry etc.

via Twitter Web Client

@feneleyinlondon Depends what “this” is. But “empowering the audience” doesn’t mean “pandering to every idle whim or query”.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to rozelleview

@Westpac I dislike your on-hold voice ads. I have to listen every time music stops to see if I’m “on”, instead of doing something else.

I’d prefer people let @ABCthedrum folks get on with making changes rather than having to answer questions about those changes.

Tue plan: A desk day of bookkeeping & client webby work, to partly escape the heat; late lunch; 1600 ABC Ultimo; back to my desk.

@simontsmall If there was rain here in Sydney, I would blame it. I do think we should acknowledge the influence of weather, yes.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to simontsmall

This emerging is happening a bit later in the day than planned or desired, @simontsmall. I bodes not well.

via Twitter Web Client

I think I might run away now. [exit]

@stokely Ta for the pointer. But I do suspect I won’t pursue. ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to stokely

@c0up I tend not to get so attached to TV / books / music that I have “favourites”. To be honest, could live without the lot.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to c0up

@MickGeorge We’re rather badly behaved with the currwawongs. http://bit.ly/zmror

via Twitter Web Client in reply to MickGeorge

@MickGeorge Actually, “watching the currawongs” is also a good answer.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to MickGeorge

@MickGeorge To relax? Spend time with friends who are important to me, or by myself, pondering. Or not.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to MickGeorge

Key point, though, @PeterBlackQUT @Darcy1968 @einspruch, I watch virtually no TV and very few movies. Really not interested.

via Twitter Web Client

RT @wolfcat: That is what drugs are for they fill those gaps in your life much better. [See! Someone understands!]

via Twitter Web Client

@PeterBlackQUT Sorry, where I come from, being “geek” does not entail watching pap TV to fill gaps in an empty life.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to peterjblack

I see, @einspruch. http://j.mp/8K2x1I These are not programs I have ever watched or cared about, so why, @PeterBlackQUT, would I know names?

via Twitter Web Client

@PeterBlackQUT No, I am not joking. Without looking it up, I have no idea who Joss Whedon is. Why would I?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to peterjblack

@Nickhodge Who’s “Joss Whedon”? Never heard of him. Srsly.

Channel Nine’s target market: people too lazy or stupid to click “next” on YouTube. Is that an A/B demographic?

via Cloudhopper

I see Channel Nine’s strategy for success is “Australia’s Funniest Home Videos” 5 nights a week. Yeah, good luck with that.

“Define your style with a Japanese Slipper.”

@ssharwood No, neither of the analysts’ initials were “MM”. The game had better stop there.

I have arrived at the SEKRIT rendezvous.

@matt_Dasilva “Radical sub”? Yeah, I know a guy like that.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mattdasilva

Are we allowed to call KKK’s purge of @premierofnsw a “whitewash”?

via Cloudhopper

Just ran into Antony Green. I so wish I could quote his opinion of certain political commentators’ by-election “analysis”.

I hope you’re all really really happy that you got yourselves Twitter accounts.

@georgiegrrl “Hat-tip” has been widely used to credit a source for ages. I seriously doubt I was first to abbreviate it “HT”.

@TKarlMiller I have no problem with @premierofnsw “taking over” followers (or “continuing”, as I’d put it). It’s still the Premier.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to TKarlMiller

@KJBar The @premierofnsw account was the Premier’s, not Rees’ personally. I’ve no problem with it staying. Document destruction, however…

via Twitter Web Client in reply to KJBar

@premierofnsw Your challenge is to convince us you’re NOT a trog-puppet, heavy-handed with the shredder. Move 1: FAIL.

via Twitter Web Client

@premierofnsw So, nothing to say? Just consign your predecessor’s tweets to the memory hole? Why?
