Sorry, I meant the native Tweetdeck after Twitter… did things to it. I’ll be staying with the old Adobe AIR-based Tweetdeck awhile.
Goodness me that so-called native Twitter app for OS X is a rather large step backwards, isn’t it!
RT @yeebok: @stilgherrian so you removed, then reinstalled the nasties? [Um, I wouldn’t have explained it that way. But, um, shoosh.]
This backup is taking far, far too long.
Thank you, @Gin_ev_ra, I’m drifting back into something approaching the usual work patterns, once this machine is rebuilt.
@hellococky Oh, OS X Lion has a nice online recovery procedure. It’s worked delightfully. It’s just taking a while to chug through it all.
I think I’ve managed to remove the weird nastis from the operating system. Now to reinstall various QuickTime codecs that screwed things.
@sylmobile It’s been problematic, so an OS reinstall was my plan. I did find that the HDD had some glitches so worth it.
So now the next half an hour or more of stuff begins.
@bleeters Well I never did stuff off tape but watching Windows installers used to be quite lucrative.
“Downloading additional components… About 2 hours and 25 minutes remaining.” Sigh.
Saturday, a day of rebuilding an operating system it seems.
