@ApostrophePong This is have done. I only took five photos at the beach, it seems. flickr.com/photos/stilghe…

via Janetter for Mac in reply to ApostrophePong

@ApostrophePong Hah! Well OK, being less of an idiot, should I label these photos Khlong Ka Choe village, or Sabai Sabai, or “between”?

via Janetter for Mac in reply to ApostrophePong

@ApostrophePong Um, “Ko” means island, right? So by saying “Ko Samet island” I am being an idiot, right?

via Janetter for Mac in reply to ApostrophePong

No, @ApostrophePong, the spill was onto Ko Samet island, about 12 or 14km to the east.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to ApostrophePong

No, half-way between the two, in those huts just to the east of the jetty. I think. goo.gl/maps/Jg6Cg @ApostrophePong

via Janetter for Mac

Trying to remember whether it was Khlong Ka Choe village, or Sabai Sabai. The first, I think. goo.gl/maps/xjiyl @ApostrophePong

We had lunch a few kilometres away, when it looked like this. stilgherrian.com/personal/unrel… I’ll find some more pics. @ApostrophePong

@budget_aus A pile of random magazine-style articles that’s built up, everything from a profile of Hedi Lamarr to stuff for work.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to Info_Aus

@budget_aus Thanks, tho there’s a TV here, and internets, and both shall be avoiding the debate. I’ll be reading tonight.

@retrogrrl That would make sense. I does seem dated now, which is fair enough. It uses stats from 2008 at one point.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to retrogrrl

@retrogrrl Hah! I should’ve guessed on their being one degree of separation. How long ago was that made?

The presenter is an animated avatar, so why wasn’t she already at her desk before she started talking? She’s programmed to be tardy?

@shiftkey And as I said on radio, Vote Compass’ is worth six figures on the commercial market, and postgrads aren’t well-paid.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to shiftkey

@shiftkey Yep, re-indentification of data is much easier than previously thought, particularly commercially if 80% accuracy is good enough.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to shiftkey

@shiftkey Why thank you. My radio chat with the creator allayed most of my short-term fears, but long-term this stuff is… interesting.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to shiftkey

MT @Andrew_Zammit: Less undercovers could mean less targeted surveillance, more mass surveillance. [That would be logical, yes.]

via Janetter for Mac

@llament Well that’s one theory, but also our spook agencies are generally even more secretive. I really need to do more reading.

Sunday, it is. Bright and clear, it’ll be another magnificent Blue Mountains day. And my throat is less sore, which helps.
