@SnarkyPlatypus Bonjour. Aujourd’hui a été une journée de contrastes. Et vous?

This is a lovely salty vegetable soup, which will replace what has been lost. But it also looks like what caused the need.

@Lyall @rashasman @ocean You missed a really obvious, but really lame, joke.

Oh dear. ABC @RNFutureTense is about the idea of having ideas festivals and what the point of this idea is. Much fun. abc.net.au/radionational/…

Type 7 on the Bristol Stool Chart, and plenty of it. Excellent*. (*Not excellent at all.)

@TelestreamAV Of course that happened immediately after I flew out this morning.

@garthk it’s the HERO3 White Edition. I’m not complaining. gopro.com/cameras/hd-her…

via Janetter for Mac in reply to garthk

Sudden fatigue. I think the lack of sleep is catching up with me. Quick errand, then a lazy catch-up on all the communication.

@TelestreamAV So the weather forecast was accurate then? Our pilot this morning did warn of a “southerly buster”.

@jonoabroad Certainly a gnome’s eye view of the world would be different.

via Plume for Android in reply to jonoabroad

@vealmince Can’t argue with that as a strategy, from their point of view.

via Plume for Android in reply to vealmince

@vealmince Indeed, I was just thinking, “Now all I need is the drone to go with it.”

Lulwut? New toy for everyone from NetSuite. instagram.com/p/gCR8D0iFnY/

@pin_payments @jdub Indeed, different markets. eWAY’s Matt Bullock just now: “I’m not afraid of Pin Payments,” with a grin.

via Plume for Android in reply to pin_payments

@jdub I’m at NetSuite’s annual media l(a)unch with CEO @ZachNelson, at Aria.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to jdub

eWAY’s target is to approve merchant accounts within 4 days, next year down to 4 hours. $25 per month, then 30c + 2% per transaction.

via Tweetbot for iOS

NetSuite has a new partnership with eWAY, the payment gateway. eWAY is now launching merchant accounts dirctly. Live end of this week.

“Magneto isn’t e-commerce, it’s just e-display… What’s their point of sale solution? They don’t have one,” says @ZachNelson.

via Tweetbot for iOS

Interesting point from @ZachNelson that with Salesforce.com’s Force.com any ERP is a layer abstracted and far slower.

via Tweetbot for iOS

NetSuite doesn’t use other cloud services because they have agreements with some customers that all data stays on hardware they own.

via Tweetbot for iOS

Products now being sold as services, like razor blades. Acne cream was @ZachNelson’s example [!]. I know airlines get engines as a service.

via Tweetbot for iOS

“I really think the next big push for NetSuite is not recurring billing but unified billing,” says @ZachNelson.

via Tweetbot for iOS

Says @ZachNelson, “If any company could have built a NetSuite competitor it would have been SAP.”

via Tweetbot for iOS

They’re putting a lot of effort into helping companies migrate off SAP.

via Tweetbot for iOS

NetSuite had 166% growth in AsiaPac over the past 3 years, Gartner says they’re still fastest-growing financials software company.

via Tweetbot for iOS

Currently plugging all the stuff they did last week, but is moving to the customer stories they’re about to run through today.

via Tweetbot for iOS

Speaking first is of course NetSuite CEO @ZachNelson. They did $410 million in revenue this year.

“Should you need to operate the emergency exit, you will receive instructions from the cabin crew, such as ‘Get out!’” Seems clear.

@AEConstant The Charles Dickens was precisely what I was after. Perfect for a quiet conversation.

via Plume for Android in reply to AEConstant

@garthk They’re blog posts, “No media file” is correct. You’re using the top-level feed rather than one of the others?

I’ve just decided that, yes, I will go to Canberra on 7 Nov to hear Eugene Kaspersky at the National Press Club. npc.org.au/speakers/eugen…

I’ve ordered a regular flat white and an apple juice, @feed_the_chooks.

@AnnabelAstbury True enough. But once you’ve herded cows into a milking shed you expect humans to do a better job.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to AnnabelAstbury

I’m checked in and have now dropped off my suitcase, @feed_the_chooks.

Long queue of stupid people is long, and the people are stupid.

via Plume for Android

@feed_the_chooks Don’t worry, you’ll be the first to know.

via Plume for Android in reply to feed_the_chooks

Ah. Moved to an exit row.

via Plume for Android

Hmmm… Can’t check in on mobile or at the kiosk. Now in line at the service desk.

via Plume for Android

Oh handy. Someone else had booked the SkyBus for our hotel at the same time I happened to be leaving. We’re rolling.

via Plume for Android

Mobile: Check out; cab to Southern Cross station; SkyBus to Melbourne airport; breakfast and stuff.

via Janetter for Mac

Tue plan, draft: Send many postcards; 0900 VA827 MEL-SYD; 1200 NetSuite media lunch, Circular Quay; administrivia; early night, probably.
