@aqualung Yes. Ideas are starting to congeal for lifting the Corrupted Nerds podcast out of its hiatus, and various SEKRIT projects.

via TweetDeck in reply to aqualung

Gwyntaglaw Laura Tingle’s article won’t be easily shrugged off, because it isn’t angry, or intemperate, or overheated - it’s a cold clinical dissection

via Twitter Web Client (retweeted on 9:32 PM, Aug 13th, 2015 via TweetDeck)

@aqualung You certainly can. I’ve just confirmed that my new kit will open up a whole swathe of production possibilities.

via TweetDeck in reply to aqualung

Tomorrow, I should have a confirmed shopping budget for “The 9pm Urgent Hardware Refresh” too, which will be fun.

via TweetDeck

Well, tonight’s experiments seem to have confirmed that “The 9pm Edict” can indeed be recorded live to “tape” and streamed live. Choice.

via TweetDeck

@darkdirk Indeed. I must admit, I’m surprises there’s as many DAWs on the market as there are.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

@darkdirk I guess it comes down to working with what you know, too. I’m certainly not pushing these tools to their limits.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

@nkav Well he certainly fancies himself. So many people in the legal profession think he’s a tool.

via TweetDeck in reply to nkav

@darkdirk I just tested Audio Hijack > Soundflower 64 > Reaper, and it works. May try an aggregate device to compare latency etc.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

@darkdirk Yeah, Ardour is kinda opposite to Reaper in that regard. Reaper is agile development all the way.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

Eureka Moment!

via TweetDeck

@darkdirk And I think I’ve just figured it out. Audio Hijack to route sources into Soundflower 64 channels, then send those to Reaper.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

This is one of the coolest @Pozible projects I’ve ever seen. A community now has a pub! pozible.com/project/196567 twitter.com/Pozible/status…

via TweetDeck

@darkdirk As an aside, I hadn’t heard of Ardour before. It looks somewhat impressive.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

@darkdirk And as I say that, I realise that setting up an aggregate audio device in OS X is going to be key. Or Audio Hijack.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

@darkdirk Gotcha. My aim is to have audio from both a Zoom H6 (the mics), Soundboard, and probably Skype, all fed into Reaper.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

@darkdirk I completely understand. I know that once I’ve got my head around a configuration of tools that works it’ll be the same for years.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

Tony Abbott’s ears must be burning tonight.

via TweetDeck

@darkdirk Hah! Indeed it does. Where “a few” is counted in decades, in my case. :) The eureka moment will happen eventually.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

@darkdirk [Nods.] Audio Hijack Pro is in my toolkit too. I should be fine, I’m just in that initial “WTF am I doing?” orientation phase.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

@darkdirk As background, I use Reaper as my DAW. I want to route in various sources (Zoom H6, Soundboard), and was looking at Soundflower.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

@darkdirk I did bounce through the website for Jack (well, JackOSX), but no updates since 2013? So I assumed it was abandonware.

via TweetDeck in reply to darkdirk

@chrisjrn I’m not quite sure which aspect of my “reality” you are mocking. I’ll get back to you.

via TweetDeck in reply to chrisjrn

On a related note, I think my brain is about to melt into a puddle of jelly.

@hi1z @NickEvershed @MelissaLDavey Then we may be on the same page after all. Or similar pages.

via TweetDeck in reply to hi1z

@hi1z @NickEvershed @MelissaLDavey Ah. I’m not assuming “a lot of antisocial aggressive behaviour” is the same as “it’s more violent now”.

via TweetDeck in reply to hi1z

@hi1z @NickEvershed @MelissaLDavey I’m not sure that we’re talking about the same thing then.

via TweetDeck in reply to hi1z

@timdunlop @latingle I don’t know enough about the Whitlam government to give an opinion on that, except that it still polarises people.

via TweetDeck in reply to timdunlop

I say, that @latingle demolition of the Rabbit government leaves a huge blood-stained patch on the carpet. afr.com/news/politics/…

via TweetDeck

Well some people are just fools, right @JohnBirmingham? twitter.com/JohnBirmingham…

via TweetDeck

“Tony Abbott: determined to lead the Whitlam government of our time?” (and not in a good way), writes @latingle afr.com/news/politics/…

via TweetDeck

@hi1z @NickEvershed @MelissaLDavey I doubt that there are “more violent sociopaths” around, given that violent crime rates are dropping.

via TweetDeck in reply to hi1z

@pandymonium01 @SnarkyPlatypus Indeed. Our governments pay good money to deliberately warp our understanding of reality.

via TweetDeck in reply to pandymonium01

@SnarkyPlatypus Also, the scarier things are over-represented in news media, at least as compared to reality.

via TweetDeck in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@SnarkyPlatypus I saw some research somewhere that said citizens always over-estimate the extent of the Bad Things,

@PointZeroOne Yeah, this is the sort of thing I found too. But what I’m after is pairs of newsreaders silently smiling and blinking.

But composed only of the non-speaking presenter silently looking, matched with shots of the other one silently looking. 2/2

I wonder whether @leslienassar will reply to my DM.

via TweetDeck

Here’s another column idea: “30 reasons why everyone even involved with or using Storify should be thrown down a well.”

via TweetDeck

@jodiem @chrisgander @zdnetaustralia Maybe that’s the column. “This week, I don’t give a toss about the following ‘news’ items.”

via TweetDeck in reply to jodiem

@jodiem @chrisgander @zdnetaustralia I suppose it could be that too, but I’m not managing to generate much care factor.

@chrisgander @zdnetaustralia “Twitter rolls out shitty email emulation in desperate bit to maintain relevance”? That sort of thing?

via TweetDeck in reply to chrisgander

@MsLods Well that’s an interesting thing. I could probably generate an opinion about that, maybe even without swearing.

via TweetDeck in reply to MsLods

@jonoabroad @leslienassar I just Googles for “vertical social network” and it returned results. This planet is fucked.

@darrenpauli This is an excellent suggestion, provided drones are involved somehow.

via TweetDeck in reply to michaelneale
