Well that was an interesting and different “Corrupted Nerds” podcast recording with @bigmac and @darrenpauli. It’ll be posted on Sunday.

via TweetDeck

@AndyRickie @darrenpauli That is a level of tyranny to which I can but aspire.

via TweetDeck in reply to AndyRickie

@BlogsofWar I was prevented from doing that by my old machine. Not enough grunt. We have now overcome that limitation.

via TweetDeck in reply to BlogsofWar

@BlogsofWar Exactly. I used to produce complex outside broadcasts for ABC Radio in Adelaide, and I think I’ve over-engineered this.

via TweetDeck in reply to BlogsofWar

@BlogsofWar Definitely, when I’ve used it properly for this next recording, and tidied it up a bit.

via TweetDeck in reply to BlogsofWar

@SnarkyPlatypus Yes, @bigmac and I just confirmed that it can do video too, if sufficient bandwidth.

via TweetDeck in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@AndyRickie @darrenpauli Definitely. Because I’m too far away to administer a public flogging.

via TweetDeck in reply to AndyRickie

Meanwhile, I have basically designed and tested a configuration which would allow “The 9pm Edict” to be produced and streamed live.

via Tweetbot for iΟS

Actually, I should be able to do what I want without the Soundflowerbed controller app, as long as the Soundflower KEXT has loaded.

via Tweetbot for iΟS

@posty Audio Hijack is part of the pipeline. I also need a virtual audio interface to route things through.

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to posty

Uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot. And if that doesn’t get Soundflower working, I’ll go to whatever that other one is. Siphon something?

via Tweetbot for iΟS

@SnarkyPlatypus I have indeed departed from the ladygarden.

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

Quite possibly because it is not installed yet. Perhaps maybe.

@jplonie That was an average. When I can be arsed looking at the analytics, I see a huge variation in tweets’ number of views.

via TweetDeck in reply to jplonie

@arcadiagt5 Yep, seems about the same in total, and it feels like a reasonably maximum to me.

via TweetDeck in reply to arcadiagt5

I remember a couple of years back, a typical tweet would be seen by about 6% of someone’s followers. Can’t imagine that figure has gone up.

via TweetDeck

I typically link to my own stories 4 to 6 times across 24 hours, then again on the weekend. That seems like plenty without retweeting more.

via TweetDeck

I mean, if you want to tell people about your stuff, just tell ‘em.

via TweetDeck

I’d put money on it being primarily a habit of people who talk about Twitter using words like “engagement”.

via TweetDeck

I suspect in part it’s because they’re desperate to self-promote, but they’re already hitting Twitter’s spam detection algorithms.

via TweetDeck

So what do you think of people who retweet it every time someone compliments them or links to their stuff? My answer is not a compliment.

via TweetDeck

Sat plan, redraft: Test audio workflows; 1000 record “Corrupted Nerds” podcast and publish; lunch and errands, Katoomba (probably).
