Oddly enough, the fine print says this product isn’t endorsed by Apple…
It is interesting to note how the USB port has simply become a convenient power source for many such “useful” devices. Think Xmas trees, fans, lights, and now … vibrators.
Why weren’t these products available way-back-when for PS/2, parallel and SCSI ports? They all supply power to some extent?
Zern, the technical specification for USB was specifically designed to provide power for devices which might be plugged in.
The others weren’t, and assumed that the devices were either self-powered (the printer on the parallel port is also plugged into the mains), or were simply switching the low-current voltages on offer (a keyboard is just a row of switches, or at least they were).
I’ve already seen their web site. And whoa!!! This uber-sexy gadget is really for the sensual type of person…
kinda teases the senses. ;P
roanne, while that comment is obviously mainly about creating links back to your commercial website, hell, it’s a good example of the technique. I’ll leave it in place!
Another iPod / MP3 vibrator that’s gotten a lot of attention is the iBuzz vibrator, which vibrates to the beat and volume of your favorite songs on your iPod.
