I’ll be a little slow for the rest of this week. Last night I accidentally knelt on a glass object, which shattered, slashing my knee. Result: 4 stitches (after some hours waiting in the hospital). A minor injury, really, just a bloody inconvenience.

Ouch.
My sympathies.
I’m sorry about your knee. (Which doesn’t mean I should feel guilty about having caused your injury). For future reference if you have a non-life-threatening injury in Sydney, I strongly suggest you drive to Bowral — when I took a friend with a burnt hand she was triaged, saw a doctor and had the burn dressed and got a morphine injection in under 30 minutes.
Thanks to you both, and to the others who’ve expressed their non-guilty sorrow privately.
Bowral seems a bit of a haul, but… morphine, you say?
I think the most difficult part of the whole process was the waiting. I understand that my case was hardly the most urgent, so I waited. But it would’ve been nice to have some reading material other than celebrity gossip magazines.
Ouch! And you didn’t get morphine? Damn.
But as for the mags, waiting rooms are the only time I can read those mags, guilt free, because of course I am ethically opposed to them but at the same time I can’t help but look at the car crashes they “report”. I secretly love “Celebrities without make-up”. There I have outed myself.
Geez…anything for attention hey… Sucks to hear fella, but at least it was a knee, nothing drastic like hands, eyeballs and the like. Take it easy.
A quick knee-update: All proceeds according to plan. Morphine was far from being required. Stitches are due to be removed later this week. All is well. Thank you all for your concern.
