Weekly Wrap 773: Remembering a little train in the sunshine

On a bright sunny day a pair of diesel railcars sit at a station platform in the open air. They’re silver, with their flat noses painted bright yellow, and just behind that a red stripe and a a small flash of blue.

My week of Monday 17 to Sunday 23 March 2025 wasn’t hugely productive but I’ve started planning more things. I also thought back to 2018, for some reason. Have a train.

My week of Monday 10 to Sunday 16 March 2025 was slightly more productive than the previous week, thank the gods, but for some reason I found myself thinking about the past. Wash your hands.

Weekly Wrap 737: Admiring an enormous American car while my podcast guests fall ill

My week of Monday 8 to Sunday 14 July 2024 was far less busy than I’d planned, because both of the podcast guests I’d booked in went down with throat infections. Still, I finally posted an episode recorded a couple weeks back, and started planning a Queensland expedition for October.

Weekly Wrap 732: A remarkably productive start to winter

The platform is deserted except for, in the distance, the guard in his hi-viz vest.

My week of Monday 3 to Sunday 9 June 2024 saw the production of three podcasts, two of which have already been posted, with the third appearing tomorrow morning. My need to nap most afternoons also declined, which I imagine is a Good Thing.

Weekly Wrap 731: Two kinds of cloud plus some rain, no podcasts, but a catch-up is imminent

My week of Monday 27 May to Sunday 2 June 2024 was dominated by poor sleep patterns, which I’m putting down to the start of the cooler weather. The podcast production schedule was pushed back, and productivity was low. But I am happy enough.

Weekly Wrap 723: Nothing mantis as much as just getting on with life, right?

My week of Monday 1 to Sunday 7 April 2024 saw me kick off the autumn series of my terrible podcast for grown-ups, the recording of which was spread across two days and two locations .
