My week of Monday 21 to Sunday 27 October included a lovely trip down to Canberra, flying this time rather than taking the train as has been my wont. Spring continues to be very warm in eastern Australia. It’s still a drought, in fact.
Some Health Patrol duties were also done, but I’ve decided to ramp down the number of times I mention them.

Corporate Largesse
- On Tuesday, my trip to Canberra for the Cyber Security Hypothetical Panel at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) was paid for by UNSW Canberra Cyber. Flights, one night’s accommodation at Mercure Canberra, taxis to and from the airport, and some food and drink.
The Week Ahead
The week begins with NetThing at University of Technology Sydney, a full-day conference about “the Australian internet governance community moving forward”. It’s definitely the kind of thing I’m into, which is probably a bit sad.
Tuesday is about writing for ZDNet, and Wednesday is about returning to Wentworth Falls after being away for more than two months.
