Weekly Wrap 490: Spring continues, with out-of-touch cyber bosses

The Week Ahead

The week begins on Sydney’s North Shore, where my Health Patrol duties continue. Monday will be about writing for ZDNet.

On Tuesday afternoon I’m flying down to Canberra for a Cyber Security Hypothetical Panel at UNSW Canberra aka the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA). I’ll stay in Canberra overnight, writing about said panel, and return to Sydney on Wednesday evening.

On Thursday or Friday I’ll record an episode of The 9pm Edict, and tell you all about my plans for podcasts over summer. The 9pm Edict is supported by the generosity of its listeners. Please subscribe for special benefits or throw a few coins into the tip jar.

Further Ahead

Here’s what’s planned. Please let me know if there’s anything I should add. Send airline tickets.

  • NetThing, Sydney, 28 October 2019. This is a full-day conference about “the Australian internet governance community moving forward, and it’s definitely the kind of thing I’m into. Sad.
  • APNIC 49 / APRICOT 2020, Melbourne, 18–21 February 2020.
