Weekly Wrap 833: Why does the ibis clan hate this car?

A suburban street with a median strip. Both the strip and the verges have shrubs and trees. Nearest to us, at the base of a palm tree, is an abandoned white Holden sedan. It’s covered in bird shit and its registration plates have been stolen.

My week of Monday 11 to Sunday 17 May 2026 was moderately productive despite coming down with the dreaded lurgi, causing some things to be postponed.

Weekly Wrap 832: Starting a new podcast series while the Ibis King stands guard

My week of Monday 4 to Sunday 10 May 2026 finally saw the start of The 9pm Edict‘s mid-2026 series, although Another Untitled Music Podcast has yet to return. Soon, though. I’m also starting to notice the wildlife of Campsie and their patterns of activity.

Weekly Wrap 830: Local excitement despite the fatigue

A typical row of Sydney suburban shops from around a century ago. Downstairs is a hair salon, Hera Hair, totally burned out. The area is cordoned off by police tape. On the right is a glass door leading to the business upstairs, Equiton Solicitors. On the left is a Chinese BBQ joint.

The week of Monday 20 to Sunday 26 April 2026 brought drama to Campsie when a car crashed into a local business and caught fire, but I was also quite tired for a lot of it.

Weekly Wrap 828: Slowly settling into Campsie and a routine

It’s a sunny day with a bright blue sky. We’re looking at a modernist office building, three storeys. It’s mostly grey concrete, with alternating vertical concrete panels and glass panels. The centre section has pale yellow panels with rectangular geometric designs. On the street side is the logo of the City of Canterbury-Bankstown. On the left are the trees of Lofts Garden, and there’s another tree on the right.

Monday 6 to Sunday 12 April 2026 was the short working week after Easter. I was tired, sure, and frustrated by the longer-than-expected unpacking process. But I’ve also started settling into a new routine.

Weekly Wrap 827: New podcasts, and exploring a new hood

View of an art deco theatre building in cream-painted plaster and two tones of blue trim, that are the top of the building being swirly and. The marquee reads "O R I O N" in a highly stylised art deco typeface.

Monday 30 March to Sunday 5 April 2026 was productive week. also relaxing, and indicative of how my move back to Sydney is evolving. I am happy.

Weekly Wrap 826: Settling into scenic Campsie

Looking up into a bright blue sky with scattered traces of cloud. A multi-storey brick apartment building looms, its side devoid of windows but decorated with square outlines of contrasting brick colours where one might expect windows to be. Tan on brown, brown on tan. At the top is a plain white box, presumably the top of the elevator shaft.

Monday 23 to Sunday 29 March 2026 was mostly about unpacking more things and getting used to the apartment and living back in Sydney, though I did manage to unclog the podcast post-production queue.
