I started a little stretch and exercise routine in my week of Monday 28 September to Sunday 4 October 2026, and I managed to stick to it! Please congratulate me. There was also an acceptable level of productivity, as you’ll see from the lists below.
The exercises are these from the UK’s NHS, including the other three in the series. My feedback so far: I love their choice of male model; they seem well-designed, almost as if the NHS knows something about health; there was creaking and groaning and mild joy. But I also need to buy some weights for the strength exercises.
Meanwhile this season’s crowdfunder The 9pm Spring Series 2026 is sitting on a plateau some 68% of the way to its first target. Thank you all so much. That means there will be at least four special-guest episodes of The 9pm Edict podcast in total for this season. But it also means I’ll need to give it a bit of a promotional push in the coming week or I won’t make it through spring.

The Week Ahead
Monday is the public holiday for Labour Day and I am going to be quite lazy. Unless I get keen and edit and post the episode of Another Untitled Music Podcast that we recorded on Saturday. Otherwise that will happen on Wednesday.
Tuesday is an errands day. But the bulk of the week will be the usual mix of stuff: locking in some podcast guests, client work, and a whole bunch of administrivia. The Weekly Cybers newsletter will appear on Friday afternoon as usual. I have no plans for the weekend.
Further Ahead
- Aussie Bird Count, 19–25 October 2026.
I really do need to add some more things here. Next week. Sure.

We’re another step closer to it being demolished and replaced with the new Campsie Hub, as can be seen by the black and yellow warning covers on the utility wires.
