Weekly Wrap 801: King parrot spring, with a podcast

In my week of Monday 29 September to Sunday 5 October 2025 I did some client work I can’t talk about yet, and recorded a podcast. I also saw a snake, which I’m not showing here.

Here is the snake.

The Week Ahead

Monday is a public holiday in NSW for Labour Day, and I think I’ll take advantage of that. I’m currently housesitting in Sydney through to 20 October or so, with various random returns to the Blue Mountains.

I have some client work to do. I have an episode of Another Untitled Music Podcast to edit and post. And on Friday there’s The Weekly Cybers newsletter as usual.

On Saturday I’ll be participating in the various SEKRIT tasks. I’ll tell you about them next week.

Further Ahead

I’d hoped to lock in more of the podcast recordings, but the long weekend intervened. Next week.

  • The 9pm Edict recording with Dr Alice Gorman and Rami Mandow, 15 October 2025. If you have a space-related TRIGGER WORD or CONVERSATION TOPIC for this episode, please get it to me by 11am AEDT that day.
  • Aussie Bird Count, 20–26 October 2025. It’s always good to be part of science.
  • Sam Campbell: Window Sucker, Sydney, 31 October 2025.
  • NEW: ATARASHII GAKKO!, Hordern Pavilion, Sydney, 4 December 2025 (TBC). This Japanese group is well worth exploring. I’m not sure who I’m taking to this gig yet. Make me an offer.
