Weekly Wrap 828: Slowly settling into Campsie and a routine

Monday 6 to Sunday 12 April 2026 was the short working week after Easter. I was tired, sure, and frustrated by the longer-than-expected unpacking process. But I’ve also started settling into a new routine.

Just a brief update about the crowdfunder I launched nine weeks ago, The 9pm Stilgherrian’s Dramatic Decamp to Campsie. It’s still hovering around 95% of the way to Target One, and the other day I posted an update on the GoFundMe page which I’ve linked to there.

There’s still no progress in finding The Lost Module, the missing third of the three storage containers of my belonging from 15 years ago, so I’ve therefore started the conversation with the storage company about when we might agree to declare it lost forever.

And there will be more about The Great Unboxening in the coming week. Definitely. But at least I have a desk now. A new one. And I’ve set it up.

In the foreground is a black desk on which sits, left to right, a RØDECaster Pro mixer, a Dell monitor, a MacBook Pro, a tiny glass Buddha, a small stack of notebooks, a desk lamp, and a mic boom holding a RØDE Procaster microphone. Behind the desk are two tall wooden bookshelves stuffed with books at random.

The Week Ahead

My aim this week is to settle back into a proper work routine after all the disruptions of moving.

That includes getting back into some client work, which has been neglected, as well as lining up some more of it. It also means starting to lock in guests for the mid-2026 series of The 9pm Edict podcast, as well as scheduling some episodes of Another Untitled Music Podcast. Both have been a bit tardy, and I want to fix that.

I’ll also be doing the final planning for The Great Unboxening. I know this has been a bit slow too, but things have been hectic. And I’ve only just got my desk.

I’ll be doing the fine-grained planning on Monday, so the only definite thing I can tell you is that The Weekly Cybers newsletter will appear as usual on Friday.
