Talking Apple’s “emergency” security patch and NSO Group on ABC Adelaide

Apple released an “emergency” security patch today, which of course led to curiosity about just how emergency it was. I spoke about this just now with Jules Schiller on ABC Adelaide.

As the Guardian reported, “Security researchers at Citizen Lab have discovered an exploit that they believe has been used by government clients of NSO Group, the Israeli spyware company, to silently hack into iPhones and other Apple devices since February 2021.”

Here’s that radio conversation. I could have waffled for hours, but of course the news headlines had to happen.
