My week of Monday 29 April to Sunday 5 May 2024 was quite productive, although you won’t see much of it listed here because most of it was for a client. I released a decent podcast, though, and I enjoyed the rainy weather.
Podcasts
- The 9pm It’s Raining and We’re All Going to Drown with Ketan Joshi, recorded on 22 April and finally posted this Thursday night. Yep, it’s all about the climate thing, as well as Elon Musk and X.
The 9pm Edict is supported by the generosity of its listeners. You can throw a few coins into the tip jar or subscribe for special benefits. Please consider.
Articles
- The Weekly Cybers #16. Online age assurance pilot gets the green light, Online Safety Act to be reviewed (again), telcos told to sort out Triple-Zero, and more.
You can read my previous writing at Authory, where you can also subscribe to an email compilation of any new stories each Sunday morning.
Photos, Videos, Media Appearances, Corporate Largesse
None of these. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel to be notified when new videos appear and when livestreams are scheduled.

I am running out of different ways to introduce my Musk links. Is this a sign?

The Week Ahead
On Monday morning I’ll get the train back to Wentworth Falls before settling into a solid few days of client work. I was on a roll this week and I want to continue that vibe.
On Saturday afternoon it’s my One Million Years Celebration, because this month (but not on Saturday) I’ll be one million years old, in binary. My last end-in-zero birthday happened during the Quarantimes, so this is intended to make up for that. Officially it runs from 3pm to 7pm, but that’s only a serving suggestion. Please RSVP so I have some idea of numbers and can tell you where it is.
BONUS: It’s also a celebration for my good friend Snarky Platypus, so be warned, he’ll be there too.
I’ll stay in Sydney overnight because on Sunday evening I’m seeing yet another comedy show, Nina Oyama is Coming, in Marrickville. I’ll be staying in Sydney again after that, and return to the Mountains on Monday.
