Weekly Wrap 835: A grey building during a grey week

May has come to an end! My week of Monday 25 to Sunday 31 May 2026 was another one disrupted by illness, although I did manage to produce a podcast and get some client work done. But it was a grey week and I was in a grey mood.

Oh yeah. But I also won the meat raffle at one of the local pubs here in Campsie, scoring a breakfast pack of sausages, bacon, eggs, and pork chops, and an entire tray of prawns.

News of the crowdfunder is still exactly the same as last week, however. It’s still sitting at 67% of the third target. And there still no progress in finding The Lost Module. More tomorrow. Definitely.

Videos, Photos, Media Appearances, Corporate Largesse

None of these. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel to be notified when new videos appear and when the occasional livestreams are scheduled — like the one this coming Thursday (allegedly).

They’re all videos this week, and I am OK with that.

The Week Ahead

On Monday I’ll kick off the new month and the new administrative season of winter with, well, administrivia. Also planning and laundry and such. There’s a lot to organise after RSV knocked out so much of my May.

On Wednesday I’m recording an Edict with Dr Alice Gorman and Rami Mandow. This will be another space-oriented episode, of course. If you’re a supporter with a TRIGGER WORD or a CONVERSATION TOPIC for this episode, please let me know by 8pm AEST this Tuesday 2 June.

On Thursday night I’ll have yet another go at doing that livestream in The Great Unboxening at 8pm AEST, the one that’s been postponed three times now. This one will focus on everything else that’s left before it all gets posted on Gumtree or eBay or whatever. This will definitely be the last in this miniseries. I was originally meant to get rid of everything by the end of the May, but I have been given a one-month reprieve.

[Update 4 June 2026: I have finally dumped the idea of this livestream. While it’s lovely to chat with you, they haven’t really been helping shift the things I need to get rid of. I received some news yesterday which changes my plans slightly. I’ll tell you about that later. Don’t worry, though. Everything is perfect in every way.]

The Weekly Cybers newsletter will appear as usual on Friday afternoon.

At the time of writing there are no plans for the weekend, although I note that here in NSW it’s a long weekend for the King’s Birthday on Monday.

Further Ahead

Oh dear, I still don’t have any more confirmed dates here. I know what I’ll be doing in the coming days!

At some point it will be accompanied by a modern apartment development next door, but at the moment I can’t find that news story. Fortunately the main shopping strip on Beamish Street is much, much more pleasant.]
