“Oh no! Leena’s fallen in the water!”

Actually, the sexiest woman in all Thailand, Leena Jangjanya (à¸¥à¸µà¸™à¸² à¸ˆà¸±à¸‡à¸ˆà¸£à¸£à¸ˆà¸²), fell into Bangkok’s polluted Khlong Saen Saeb (à¸„à¸¥à¸à¸‡à¹à¸ªà¸™à¹à¸ªà¸š) canal while campaigning today. It’s more like sewage than water.

val told me a short time ago, but it’s being reported in Bangkok’s two leading English-language newspaper websites, The Nation and the Bangkok Post.

Leena reportedly fell from a boat near the Pratunam pier, but is unharmed. That is, until she gets the bad case of diarrhoea.

[P.S. Do not do a Google Images search for “leena” just by itself when safe search is turned off. You have been warned. However it’s nice to note that an image search for “leena jang” currently has four of my pages in the top 12.]

Live from Oz-IA/2008

This weekend I’m at the Oz-IA/2008 Information Architecture conference in Sydney.

We’re recording the sessions for distribution later. But, as far as possible, we’ll have a live video stream. Do feel free to pop by and have a chat. If it all dies in the arse I’ll be whingeing about it on my Twitter stream.

Live from The Frog Pond

Stilgherrian Live will start taking on a new form. I’ve just recorded a quick experimental episode live from our back garden using my MacBook Pro and a Telstra NextG card.

It worked!

The bloke at Telstra reckons I should be able to get a 3Mb/second uplink — more than enough for good video quality — which means we can have Stilgherrian Live from Pretty Much Anywhere.

This weekend I’ll be doing some live feeds from the Oz-IA/2008 Information Architecture conference, and next Thursday’s program will be live from Webjam 8 at Bar Broadway.

Where should I broadcast from after that?
