I should mention that most of my photos I’ve been posting here lately have been taken with my Nokia N80 Nseries “multimedia phone”. Not too foul for a camera with a lens the size of a burst pimple.
I’ve changed the website header
Did you notice that I changed the text in the website header? What do you think? A bit too pretentious maybe?
Is London 2012 skewing their blog commentary?
Yesterday I posted a comment about the dodgy logo at the London 2012 blog, but it wasn’t published. So this morning I’ve posted the following comment which may or may not appear.
I don’t understand why the balance of commentary on this blog is so out of kilter with the balance of commentary elsewhere. It’s clear that most media outlets are reflecting an overwhelmingly negative response to the new branding — yet that’s not reflected here.
I posted a comment on this issue on Monday’s posting but it wasn’t published — yet I don’t see how it broke the commenting guidelines.
Are comments being selectively published as a PR “spin”?
I wonder if they’ll even respond… there’s so much at stake with the Olympics, and so many reputations to protect.
Broken formatting
I’m exhausted. I’ve just finished dealing with some major systems crises, and at the end of it I’m left with broken formatting on this website. Some of the text looks funny. Oh well it can wait… I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow.
Maintaining the right tone
My last post, sitting there at the top of the home page for three days or more, really doesn’t give people “the right impression”, does it? Or does it?
Oh no, not Steve Irwin again!
Yesterday’s disposable post about disposable pop singer Anthony Callea has already generated comments from two newcomers. Please, don’t let this be a repeat of the flood of comments about Steve Irwin! Please, Gentle Readers, comment upon some of the more substantial pieces, like this one or this one or this one or this one. Explore. Comment. Please.
