Word-whore. I write 'em. I talk 'em. Information, politics, media, and the cybers. I drink. I use bad words. All publication is a political act. All communication is propaganda. All art is pornography. All business is personal. All hail Eris! Vive les poissons rouges sauvages!

Weekly Wrap 615: The calming of La Niña, the disintegration of the trains

During the week of Monday 7 to Sunday 13 March 2022 it actually stopped raining for a few days, although part of the Sydney basin and other areas had worse flooding than the week before. It’s all a mess, but blue skies were seen at the end of the week.

Weekly Wrap 614: La Niña continues her reign of terror and we’re all sick of it

Washed-out track at Bunjaree Cottages

Monday 28 February to Sunday 6 March 2022 was another week of wet weather in eastern Australia with more floods and a general air of depression. That said, I don’t have much to complain about personally.

Weekly Wrap 613: Recording a podcast while La Niña has her way with the entire east coast

Arriving at Sydney Central in the rain

The week of Monday 21 to Sunday 27 February 2022 was a week of rain. La Niña owns us now, and she made is bail about 300 litres of water out of a storeroom, maybe more. Still, I got a podcast done, and sorted out a lot of things behind the scenes.

Rose at the Alexandra Hotel

Monday 14 to Sunday 20 February 2022 was one of more productive weeks. Two podcasts recorded. A major update to a blog post. And a lot of attention paid to what was happening in parliament. I even managed to enjoy the almost-end of summer.

Weekly Wrap 611: Spooks, cynicism, conspiracies, and a slug

Red Triangle Slug

Monday 7 to Sunday 13 February 2022 was for me, and for so many Australians who pay attention to politics, a frustrating and stressful mess. But I won’t go into that here. I’ll just celebrate an interesting article, an even more interesting podcast, and a slug. A pretty slug.

Weekly Wrap 610: I had an editorial meeting and I saw a coal train and I uploaded some videos

Coal Train at Wentworth Falls

My week of Monday 31 January to Sunday 6 February 2022 saw me slowly returning to productivity after that lurgi. Certain circumstances led to the podcast recording being pushed back, but I got plenty of other things done.
