It's real. And it's a known thing among voice coaches & media trainers to warn people about. When speaking the word "country's" your brain wants to jump to the next word before your mouth has finished. The "ry" doesn't make the jump. Had a client do this on live radio once.

I was listening in. They dropt it. Continued on a few words then the enormity of what they had said crushed them. I try to encourage people to only say "country" if they can. The plural "countries" or singular possessive "country's" are were the danger lies. The S is dangerous.

An experimental Covid-19 vaccine developed by cigarette maker British American Tobacco Plc is poised to begin testing in humans. Pre-clinical tests of the vaccine showed a positive immune response, the London-based maker of Lucky Strike cigarettes said Friday in a statement. The first phase of human trials could begin as soon as late June if authorized by drug regulators, BAT said.
