As I type this, it’s just beginning to rain, and I can hear the sound of thunder in the background. But 20 minutes ago I took this photo of the gathering storm clouds over Enmore in Sydney.

I am such a geek.
1. missing twitter (its down as I write this)
2. watching storm approach on http://mirror.bom.gov.au/products/IDR033.loop.shtml?looping=1&reloaded=4&topography=true&locations=true&range=true#skip
@Nick Hodge: Yes, you are such a geek. It’s nice to know I’m the second choice when Twitter is down.
Twitter has certainly become a must-watch application for the core of geekdom, hasn’t it! I’m still finding the sweet spot where it’s a useful part of my life without becoming another low signal-to-noise irritation. I plan to write more about that soon.
I always watch the storm rolling in on the radar. I don’t have a decent view from my desk — something which I must fix this year.
Yep, I was under that without an umbrella, but I loved it anyway. Fabulous photo.
@Quatrefoil: Ah, there’s something about the energy of a storm, eh? Not long after I posted that I went outside and the flying foxes were cavorting in the post-storm damp. Noisily.
