Using highly-classified Victorian-era satellite technology, Google Earth now includes views of the Earth from historical times.
To get the historical overlays, use the “Layers” section of Google Earth application, and dig down to “Primary Database” then “Featured Content” then “Rumsey Historical Maps”.
