Meanwhile it’s problematic getting to Microsoft Update on those Windows boxes I’m building. It always is this time of day. Why is that?

via Twitter Web Client

Methinks I’ll go Entourage 2004 to Mail on the Tiger machine, and then migrate that to the Leopard box [copies another 3GB of data… sigh.]

via Twitter Web Client

@brettw Yes, I will use Apple Mail. But with migration from Tiger to Leopard and to new machine simultaneously, this seemed faster. YMMV. ;)

Why should I have fear? Importing the old identity: 1 failed; 2 crashed Entourage. The correct emotion is resignation.

via Twitter Web Client

Importing an Entourage 2004 identity into Entourage 2008. This is always a fear-filled moment.

@mpesce Your material from has been wonderful and shows what Twitter can achieve. Some inspirational schools there, too! Well done.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@jeffsonstein @DenubisX If you want to confuse the stats, I can think of far better words than . Same last 3 letters too… ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to jeffsonstein

@mpesce Is it that schools in “bad areas” get more first-year-out teachers: more keen, less jaded, newer ideas and methodologies? Or random?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

Installing software onto this very computer [points]. I must not have other applications running, it says. I shall obey, Uncle Microsoft.

via Twitter Web Client

@smperris Careful! Next you’ll be asking me to be reasonable and to consider other people’s needs. That way madness lies. I should know…

via Twitter Web Client in reply to smperris

@mpesce Plz tell Katrina if that’s her knowledge of teh internetz then 1 she should not be teaching children and 2 plz shoot herself kthxbai

@nickobec You must put this sticker on that tunnel, so people are warned. http://is.gd/pJt (Hat-tip to @jeffsonstein.)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to nickobec

Retweet @nickobec: “Got stuck in a tunnel with no network access for 2 minutes, it was scary.” Welcome to the future. ;)

Retweet @abcnews: Opposition accuses government of regional pork-barrelling. http://tinyurl.com/6ak8z6 Ahem. Pot. Kettle. Black.

ABC TV tells carbon-emitting kids to die early. http://is.gd/qoW I suspect I know who’s responsible for this. [smirks] Can haz satire. ;)

@nextfaze Welcome to my Twitterworld, may it be… fruitful. Or at least fruit-filled. I’d choose the limes, personally.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to nextfaze

Wed plan: Clear a few more emailsm over coffee; visit St Ives client 1130+ to set up new VPNs on Next G; evening free (sloth?)

via Twitter Web Client

“A Liberal backbencher had multiple orgasms on the floor of parliament last night.” http://is.gd/qni Misleading sensationalist headline.

via Twitter Web Client

@jeffsonstein Oh I *am* directly in the glidepath. Have a listen to our dawn chorus! http://is.gd/qkw We tickle their tummies as they land.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to jeffsonstein

@jeffsonstein In Australia, ISPs already charge by usage, not just raw link speed. Charge thru the nose, too.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to jeffsonstein

@jeffsonstein I did get a crash course in using the M72 LAW one day, but I reckon I’d get into trouble using one on runway 16R approach.

@SnarkyPlatypus Most lifestyle choices are shit lifestyle choices. Just look around you on the way to work.

Emerging. Mistakenly, but with heavy jets overhead. This is my Wednesday world, and ye shall suffer.

Developing horizontiality.

“Upgrading my Identity”, apparently. It’s taking a while…

@limburger2001 Sack-hitting violent? Man, you have yet to see me get started…! ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to limburger2001

Pottering briefly before sack-hitting. A long but relatively fruitful day.

@adampurcell Watching the reaction on Twitter, even discounting your own disappointment, there seemed to be a bit of anger at SBS’s angles.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to adampurcell

(Note the date on that post: 17 June 2008. They’re so overloaded they’ve been catapulted into the future! Scary!)

SBS Insight website overloaded: “We are experiencing a few technical difficulties due to the popularity of tonight’s show.” http://is.gd/pVT

@DJPoyner Interesting that Crikey replaces Media Watch for you. I’m sure Crikey wishes they had Media Watch’s budget and audience! ;)

via Twitter Web Client

Catching up with a month of watching Media Watch thanks to teh internetz. More downloadage will follow. Maybe Insight shall feel my wrath…

via Twitter Web Client

Due to almost non-existent TV reception under Runway 16R approach, I’l have to watch Insight on teh internetz later.

via Twitter Web Client

@mspecht The music company douchebag probably doesn’t *think* that, but he knows it’s good to blame someone else for his industry’s failure.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mspecht

Dear Windows XP, what does “Preparing for download” mean for 5+ minutes? Meditation? Masturbation? Clients have to pay for this crap!

via Twitter Web Client

@Mediamum Oh I don’t LIKE The Bangles, I just used the information to annoy @SnarkyPlatypus. The more we can annoy him, the better.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to Mediamum

@mikeyp And yet another welcome to my Twitterworld. :) I liked the mention of The Bangles on your blog, I’ve made use of it already. ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mikeyp

@deswalsh Hi to you too, hope you find something of value in my rantings. ;)

@ragnarok1971 Outlook is thoroughly intertwined with MAPI and uses Internet Explorer’s HTML engine. The Mac rewrite IS Entourage. Kinda.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to ragnarok1971

@mpesce As well as the backlog of flights.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@mpesce Melbourne airport was fog-bound earlier today, probably working through backlog of fights.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@SilkCharm Yes I’ll probably come to “Save Freelance Journalists - an endangered species in web 2.0”? http://tinyurl.com/6d2o4j ~95% chance.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to SilkCharm

@ragnarok1971 Microsoft needs an Exchange client for Mac, and something that can talk directly to Word, Excel etc. Hence Entourage 2008.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to ragnarok1971

“Monthly woman’s circle” sounds wrong, for some reason.

@candysnap Excellent, look forward tom your new work… Still trying to find time to look thru your stuff properly, but that’ll happen… :)

@candysnap “Putting up my NY subway map on my wall to remind me of the work I have to do b4 I move to NY.” You have to BUILD THE SUBWAY?!?!?

(I did not use Apple Mail previously because iCal lacked a feature which was important for me. I change core tools conservatively, though.)
