Anyone using .Mac been screwed when Apple moved them to MobileMe? Please DM me. (And please pass this on if you’ve heard of anyone…)

Wed plan: Potter at desk getting projects in order; 1130-1330 client visit Martin Place; afternoon unsure; dinner etc with @SnarkyPlatypus.

Retweet @BBCWorld: First official image of proposed joint Russian and European manned spacecraft unveiled. http://tinyurl.com/5s685m

Emerges. There is a strange sense of deja vu, as if there is a strange sense of deja vu, as if awaking from a long, eel-filled nightmare.

@SnarkyPlatypus [Shouting from down the hallway] It doesn’t work unless is one tag!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@SnarkyPlatypus I still insist that I have no need to go to the gym tomorrow. ;) Nevertheless I’ll exit the Twitterverse now. Ciao all.

Retweeting @jeffsonstein: for those who missed it, commentary on monetize-every-fscking-thing madness: http://is.gd/YFM

via Twitter Web Client

@jeffsonstein Oh isn’t it inevitable that I grew up with Python? But I think by The Meaning of Life they were well past their prime.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to jeffsonstein

@boztek I’m glad to be of help, but maybe @andrewdotnich linked to the song you mean?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to boztek

@andrewdotnich Good one! Cunt. But I might be able to beat you with http://is.gd/106s and the OMFG moment mid-way thru.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to andrewdotnich

@andrewdotnich No, not those lame New Zealanders! THIS is the boat-related video you need! http://is.gd/105O All hail Eris!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to andrewdotnich

@jeffsonstein Oh @SnarkyPlatypus can explain the time transforms in the video clip too. And, @trib, the schoolboys.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to jeffsonstein

@trib You should ask @SnarkyPlatypus about Bonnie Tyler. He can explain it ALL.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to trib

@andrewdotnich @trib And the incongruous vampire chicks have awesome breast-thrusts! http://is.gd/105a

via Twitter Web Client in reply to andrewdotnich

@tirb Nah, “blogeur/blogeuse” sounds a bit too much like something you’d pump out of an asthmatic duck.

via Twitter Web Client

@andrewdotnich And, links from that song, the GREATEST MUSIC VIDEO IN THE HISTORY OF TIME ITSELF! http://is.gd/1055

via Twitter Web Client in reply to andrewdotnich

Retweet @andrewdotnich: @stilgherrian [New] Media Killed the Journalist Star? http://is.gd/104U I LOVE YOU CRAZY HAT MAN!

via Twitter Web Client

@trib @mpesce I must admit, I do like the term “blogalaxie” rather than “blogosphere”.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to trib

@trib Um, the University Of Woolloomooloo rules could be… erm… tricky for me. ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to trib

@mpesce Um, apart from my bit at the end, it’s copied directly from Pisani’s article! Merde!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

“La forme de votre métier et la forme de vos articles était déterminée par la technologie pour les distribuer.” I’m clever en Français!

via Twitter Web Client

@trib Does this make us both French philosophers? ‘La “tension artificielle” blogueurs-journaliste’? [smirks]

via Twitter Web Client in reply to trib

@trib Vive le poisson rouge sauvages! (“But it’s only a blog…” *winks*)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to trib

Vive le poisson rouge sauvages!

via Twitter Web Client

@NathanaelB Original reference it at http://is.gd/asR but the Twitterhistory is at http://is.gd/103i … it’s MINE!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to NathanaelB

@NathanaelB Origin: If you’ve got a new IT product you just tell TechCrunch and the geek world’s blogosphere of feral goldfish do the rest.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to NathanaelB

@trib @mpesce Oh, it’s by Francis Pisani too, lecturer in journalism & new media at UC Berkeley, Stanford, Universidad IberoAmericans, etc.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to trib

@mpesce That ever-reliable Gooletranslatorfish says it’s “Vive le poisson rouge sauvages!” Savage red fish!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@trib! Oi! Bugger your birthday, we’ve been TRANSLATED INTO FRENCH sur “Le futur des médias”! http://is.gd/102y

via Twitter Web Client in reply to trib

That was meant to be “crossed” not “cross”. Plenty of people were cross with John Howard, but Monica Lewinsky probably wasn’t one of them.

via Twitter Web Client

Home and somewhat exhausted, but relaxed and unafraid. I feel like Monica Lewinski cross with John Howard during the early part of his term.

@zhasper Yes, being pilgrim-free is an endearing attribute.

Good God! On a bus on Military Rd, city-bound, and I am the only passenger!

via Twitter Web Client

I think it’s time to surrender the delights of Mosman and return to the more earthy pleasures of Sydney’s inner west, by bus and train.

via Twitter Web Client

@neerav I’m pretty sure I started at 300 baud, ‘cos I moved to [gasp!] Viatel at 1200/75 baud, was it? Chunky 40 x 25 character graphics!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to neerav

I’m annoyed with having to quote consumer law at Linksys staff who are not in Australia. REFUND, not replacement with another FAIL device.

via Twitter Web Client

@neerav (I’ve sorta been doing this network stuff since… well, I remember being excited about 1200 baud…)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to neerav

@neerav Way ahead of ya! ;) I’d already been thru Whirlpool forums. I found the history of the AM300’s problems but no resolution.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to neerav

@willhughes True, but with the AM300 we’re talking DSL line sync, not WiFi. ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to willhughes

This is a fixed-price job, so every single billable hour I lose to this is double the price of a new modem. ;) Ah, economics…

via Twitter Web Client

@thomasrdotorg There was also a weird bug between the WiFi on SOME PowerBook batches and SOME D-Link 802.11g access points. Go figure.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to thomasrdotorg

@thomasrdotorg [sigh] It took ages to rule out noise, config problems etc. Just THIS model modem and SOME racks at some ISPs don’t work.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to thomasrdotorg

It appears the Linksys AM300 modem has a “history” of failage on some ADSL2+ networks. I’ll write this up later.

via Twitter Web Client

OK, the ADSL2+ link works with a D-Link DSL-G604T router, is teh complete failage with Linksys AM300 modem. The Internet is such a shitpile.

via Twitter Web Client

@jeffsonstein Apple says “1%” of migrations from .Mac to MobileMe are screwed. http://snurl.com/33btk I’m writing a piece for Crikey today.
