@thetowncrier I would be following you except Twitter unfollowed us and won’t let me follow back. I have ticketed a support thingywhinge.

@neg2led “Keep doing what you are”? But think of it more like “I am what I do.” Perhaps that’s enough philosophy for this hour.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to sirneggles

@neg2led Hi. Ploddy Sat morning here. Any particular stuff in “the good work” you want me to keep up? :)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to sirneggles

@markpollard Yeah there are real phase shifts in the Twitter experience at ~50, then maybe ~600 to ~1000, depending on individual network.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to markpollard

@TNudes 10 blog posts? Space them out daily or more, please. 10 at once = indigestible = “Mark all as read”. YMMV.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to TNudes

@markpollard I’ve probably been looser than those rules too. I’ll look at my 18-odd overnight new followers and revise if needed!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to markpollard

Dear New Twitter Followers, I’ve hit the phase shift where I can’t follow everyone back http://bit.ly/AqQLv but I do see all @replies. Hi.

via Twitter Web Client

@facibus Oh indeed, they are allowed to be excited by the “new” hardware toy and the new software toy, even if it’s a tad predictable. ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to facibus

@nwjerseyliz 20th of the Web, not the Internet. The Internet itself? Either nearly 40 (ARPANET) or 35 (TCP/IP protocol). http://bit.ly/JYssF

via Twitter Web Client in reply to nwjerseyliz

Are people aware that yesterday 13 March (today in US) was 20th birthday of the Web? http://bit.ly/b6lHf I was busy, missed celebrations.

via Twitter Web Client

@facibus Ahem. I RTd @mediahunter’s observation ‘cos it was “interesting”. Did I say I agreed with it, or pass judgement in any way? ;)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to facibus

RT @mediahunter: They should rename SXSW to TwitterXiPhoneFest

@kcarruthers Admit it! You kidnapped that dog. http://twitpic.com/226ew For weeks you’ve been saying how much you want a puppy, now this!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to kcarruthers

Emerges. It wasn’t my idea, I reassure you!

OK, time to think of Shatner, Bush and the Virgin Mary and get some sleep. [exit]

via Twitter Web Client

A Facebook application asking me “Are you smarter than George W Bush?” Well, do I have neurons? (P.S. Can I have all your private data?)

via Twitter Web Client

Home, overseen by the cut-out image of William Shatner. He is better than the Virgin Mary in three vital ways. [nods]

I’m back in the village, will join @ApostrophePong at Kelly’s in about 90 seconds.

@derekbradley It’s not the food, but the noise. I’ve never understood why so many people “unwind” by SHOUTING AT EACH OTHER AT CLOSE RANGE.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to derekbradley

@casus_belli Wow, I didn’t know people still used the word “yuppie”. How quaint. (And, alas, I have no knife.)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to casus_belli

Ta for all the advice, but I’ve abandoned Darlinghurst as it irks me. I am In Transit.

via Twitter Web Client

@derekbradley The Green Park, at this time of day, is too noisy and has inadequate food.

via Twitter Web Client

@wayneoau “Sherry”? Man, that actually sounds quite appealing. Now I need somewhere quiet to drink it. On a Friday. In Sydney. Fat chance!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to wayneoau

@casus_belli Agreed. I’m in a quiet-bite-and-drink mood. Darlo will be in a raucous-Friday mood. It’ll clash badly. And I’ll want to stab.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to casus_belli

Done at Darlinghurst. Now what?

via Twitter Web Client

@franksting I’m glad you chose not to use “to drive” in your presentation, because it would have been a shame to have to kill you.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to franksting

Stuart from HP has installed the new system board and we are rebooting the server. Firmware upgrade and some diagnostics remain. On plan.

@Krumpet What a strange coincidence: “downloading teh pr0nz” was what I thought about the other 2% too. ;)

ACMA: 98% of SMEs use their Internet to communicate with clients/suppliers. http://bit.ly/Fg1yO So who are the other 2% talking to?

This week’s “A Series of Tubes” podcast is now online at http://bit.ly/JHRvs with a bit of me. Ta, @R_Chirgwin!

@josh909 Virgin/Optus is just my phone, but I often have 3G “problems” in Newtown/Enmore.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to josh909

No 3G packet data along Enmore Rd. Typical . I wonder when they’ll admit, even privately, how screwed up they are. Denial FTL.

via Cloudhopper

@DrCris Drive me insane? To steal someone else’s joke: “Sir, that’s not a drive, it’s a short putt.” (See, fucking golf again! WTF?)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to DrCris

Mobile. Enmore Rd / Newtown station / Kings Cross station / Darlinghurst client / sysadmin stuff for money. Attention will vary.

@SnarkyPlatypus If European Unity is “sorely” tested they’re doing it wrong. Some gentleness is required, at first. http://is.gd/nh01

@KingCnut I know how you found me. ;) I’ve been meaning to talk to you… and will soon.

via Twitter Web Client

@facibus Indeed, ANY respectable dictionary must include “cunthook”. Macquarie take their role as national dictionary very seriously, FTW.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to facibus

@facibus I reckon Macquarie is a tad conservative in adding neologisms to the Dictionary though. Still stuck in a paper-based style, IMHO.

@SnarkyPlatypus Les colliers peuvent être de tout type, aussi longtemps qu’ils causent tant de douleur et d’humiliation sociale.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@seancarmody @facibus Neither US nor UK spelling, but Australian. That it’s the same as UK is a common misconception. http://bit.ly/rt9aA

@SnarkyPlatypus Bonjour. Il est nécessaire de tenir tout le monde sur un étroit laisse. Ils sont mal discipliné. Et toi?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@facibus Correction: Onviuosly I woud also support a bane on ivory because it’s confusing and discriminates against stupid pianos.

via Twitter Web Client

@facibus Onviously I would also support a ban on irony because it’s confusing and discriminates against the stupid.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to facibus

@giladgreenbaum Al Gore invented not only the Web but electricity, the light bulb and running water. Also fire. Also steam.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to giladgreenbaum

@facibus Obviously I would only support centralised Twitter spelling control if *I* were the Lexicographer in Chief.
