Thu plan (late); Webby work and writing at my desk, punctuated by a brief errand to King St; evening unplanned, but probably quiet.

@JoshuaWithers Many RFCs need updating. But the key to RFC 1149 is the error correction, not how the 0s and 1s are stored. Bigger packets?

@SnarkyPlatypus Mais je suis aussi une créature du Chaos! Pourquoi font-ils me respectent pas?

via Twitter Web Client in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@Venisejb It is not entirely the cats’ fault, but being awake 0245 to 0500 or so overnight will not improve today’s level of joy.

@bengrubb Yes, RFCs, as primary source, carry more weigh than Wikipedia, much as Wikipedia is a a useful secondary source.

@SnarkyPlatypus Bonjour. Les chats ont le don de transformer une bonne nuit de sommeil en une mauvaise. Ils le font avec amour. Et vous?

@danilic Your Hungry Beast item on pigeon-Internet confused transport layer and application layer. Please see RFC 1149. http://bit.ly/aWPBP

@bengrubb Your pigeon-Internet story http://bit.ly/27N7A3 seems to have been written without knowledge of RFC 1149. http://bit.ly/aWPBP

RT @grum: If god didn’t want us to have pre-marital teenage sex, then why did he create wine coolers?

I am going to the gym, and you can’t stop me. Actually, you probably could stop me. Far too easily, in fact. So don’t try to stop me.

This video http://bit.ly/27DLdR is Michel Gondry explaining how he made this video http://bit.ly/2sce96 Note, @ApostrophePong!

@damonism @SnarkyPlatypus The “black tie and nothing else” response is predicatble, I think. Should you be trying harder?

via Twitter Web Client

@RSPCANSW Um, Cupcake Camp Sydney video was @ApostrophePong, not me, which is what links to http://bit.ly/KLQbZ …? I was just an attendee.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to RSPCANSW

An invitation to a “black tie” event reminds me how sparse my wardrobe is, and how little I care for such dress-up wankery.

@jdub Your fixage is appreciaterated. Thank you. The world thanks you. Many joyous small creatures thank you. Mostly.

@rod3000 @ApostrophePong I wasn’t aware that I could create Media140 freebies. I am just a lame panellist.

@rebel Tweetdeck is made of AIR and presumably uses its dictionary to check spelling. It’s lame and doesn’t respect locale settings.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to rebel

Taking a brief walk so that my brain doesn’t congeal any further than it already has today. Why doesn’t Adobe AIR know “congeal”?

@SnarkyPlatypus My life is now a perpetual middle of a Wednesday afternoon.

@crikey_news Um, Crikey Blogs home page is geb0rken, stops loading after it hits “yui-u advert”.

@BernardKeane “Apparently the Opposition is like Supernaut”, you say? In this way, by any chance? http://bit.ly/f4SDJ

@crikey_news Search and replace lulz! “Andoctorew Raff” and “Andoctorew Crook”? “Dr” becomes “doctor” everywhere! Sweet.

@grantshow Something like OpenID is much better technically, and less likely to “share” your details.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to grantshow

@grantshow Re your poll http://bit.ly/2gVwhk NO, because neither Twitter nor Facebook are secure authentication providers.

@imtimhanlon HTML tables as layout was OK for its time, I reckon. It was a shock having to deal with it again though.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to timhnln

I’ve just spent an hour working on a website built in the days of tables for layout and I feel very, very dirty. And not in a good way.

@VoxofTLS Well, I’m just reading the Reuters privacy policy. If privacy policy doesn’t match practice, it’s like 90% of companies. ;)
