Methinks I shall finish off the production tonight, and then tomorrow can be an easy start to the day.

via TweetDeck

@gilfer The coin-toss could be a good technique, yes. But a drink first.

via TweetDeck in reply to gilfer

@gilfer Normally I’d do the early start too. But I have the gut feeling that I should get it out of the way this time.

via TweetDeck in reply to gilfer

Decision time. To do the remaining production and text tonight, when tired? Or get up early tomorrow? I shall ponder a moment.

via TweetDeck

@durk94 You’re right. I can’t imagine why I would possibly want to back up three and a half hours of work. I just can’t.

via TweetDeck in reply to DChapman94

And that’s the panel discussion edited. Now, to run a backup before moving to the next step.

via TweetDeck

@SMinney Well on Friday I was still deciding on topics, but I did have a few ideas. And now it’s a completely different idea.

via TweetDeck in reply to SMinney

And now to begin the editing. This’ll be fun.

via TweetDeck

And… the recording is done! Thank you @kcarruthers @jdub @purserj for your time. “Patch MOnday” podcast will be online tomorrow morning.

via TweetDeck

RT @viocorp: The YouTube Symphony Live Stream is about to start http://www.youtube.com/s… http://fb.me/UnDjsPrs

via TweetDeck

Ok, about to start the “Patch Monday” podcast recording, take 2. Attention to Twitter limited.

via TweetDeck

@cheshireb I figure if you’re looking for work then it can’t hurt to have your info in an many venues as possible.

via TweetDeck in reply to cheshireb

Recording has been rescheduled for 7pm AEDT. Exciting, eh?

via TweetDeck

@peter_tonoli Oh ta for that link to the comments on my LinkedIn post, I’ll put that over on my site at some point. Much appreciated.

via TweetDeck in reply to peter_tonoli

Oh. No @jdub. Recording postponed until he reappears.

via TweetDeck

@jdub Hello hello hello?

via TweetDeck

Annoyed that the new Skype for Mac application has removed the manual volume controls.

via TweetDeck

In about 10 mins I’m recording “Patch Monday” with @kcarruthers @jdub @purserj so attention will be limited.

via TweetDeck

@anthonycole There’s a really strong theme coming through that LinkedIn is about getting work or workers. So if you don’t need that…

via TweetDeck in reply to anthonycole

Ta for your LinkedIn comments, @ben_hr @oberonsghost, I’ll add them to the blog post later.

via TweetDeck

Some of the commenters on my LinkedIn piece do get value out of it, yes @cheshireb. Curious. http://arseh.at/54a

via TweetDeck

@kofeyh I understand your point. To be honest, I think I just don’t like the aesthetic of seeing two of my comments in a row. ;)

via TweetDeck in reply to kofeyh

My reasoning is that a few minutes either way doesn’t matter, if it improves clarity. @kofeyh

via TweetDeck

An example, @kofeyh, is when someone posts a comment while I am too. It looks like I ignored them. I move mine earlier by a minute or two.

via TweetDeck

Sometimes I slightly edit the timestamps on blog comments so my responses are in the right sequence. I think this is perhaps OK.

via TweetDeck

I just stumbled across this photo of me from 2009, still one of my favourites. http://arseh.at/54c HT @ApostrophePong

via TweetDeck

@Drag0nista I got that you meant your non-pseudonymous self. ;)

via TweetDeck in reply to Drag0nista

@Drag0nista @gilfer Yeah I can see how the “professional Facebook” thing would work. But I just use Twitter for that. Kinda.

via TweetDeck in reply to Drag0nista

@jdub Yeah I reckon the live-to-“tape” chats tend to work well. Plus they’re quicker for me to turn around in post.

via TweetDeck in reply to jdub

@jdub Unexpected afternoons out are good! Yes, Skype at 6pm also with @kcarruthers and one other I haven’t chosen yet. Suggestions welcome.

via TweetDeck in reply to jdub

@miscx I guess I’m just frustrated because LinkedIn looks like it should be useful, somehow.

via TweetDeck in reply to miscx

@miscx When I tried changing it just to “Freelance” it wanted “an email address at the company”. But it changed it anyway, it seems. Sigh.

via TweetDeck in reply to miscx

OK, the messages I’m getting are that LinkedIn is “good” for recruiting and fake personas. Whacko.

via TweetDeck

@gilfer No, you shouldn’t hide your opinions there. Please tell us what you really think. ;)

via TweetDeck in reply to gilfer

RT @gilfer: I think it’s where people who aren’t good enough to get headhunted go in the hope of getting headhunted. [I thought that too.]

New blog post: “I just don’t get LinkedIn, do you?” http://arseh.at/54a

via TweetDeck

@Pardus1980 Stocking never work on chickens. Their claw thingies cause laddering. Always.

via TweetDeck in reply to PardusXY

@kewnus Cheers. The arseh.at URL shortener is the work of @thepatus and not mine at all.

via TweetDeck in reply to kewnus

NPR manages to produce world’s most boring interview about Twitter. http://arseh.at/546

via TweetDeck

Another clip from Chris Lilley’s “Angry Boys”, via @meadea http://arseh.at/545

via TweetDeck

@jdub Oh. Maybe I didn’t actually DM you. Anyway, is 6pm a suitable time for recording for you?

via TweetDeck in reply to jdub

@SavageNatPelle I’m sure you’re not alone in thinking Twitter occupies plenty and returns… Something? Nothing?

via TweetDeck in reply to SavageNatPelle

@jdub You don’t check your DMs, do you… [sulks]

via TweetDeck in reply to jdub

@leslienassar Um, yes, Twitter did indeed change your job. Perhaps that story need not be told again? ;)

via TweetDeck in reply to leslienassar

@nphair Sounds like you’d be well prepared for The Robot Takeover. Which is scheduled… soon. Shhh!

via TweetDeck in reply to nphair

@carmR Unless, of course, you have a restaurant to run later? I was planning to record at 6pm this evening.

via TweetDeck in reply to carmR

@carmR Exactly that kind of stuff, yes. I’m interested in how it’s changed non-IT and non-media businesses. I may contact you later today.

via TweetDeck in reply to carmR

@carmR Hello. :) Is that a response to my Twitter question? Does it move beyond marketing and promotion for you?

via TweetDeck in reply to carmR

I’m trying to avoid the promotional / networking / “opportunites” aspects though, @edklein_ @nicolejensen, as they’re done to death.

via TweetDeck

Has Twitter changed your job or business? Are you not in journalism or marketing? Wanna tell me about it on “Patch Monday” podcast? Ping me.

via TweetDeck

RT @Stacey0: @stilgherrian You’re a guy? [Most days, yes. I think.]

via TweetDeck

Bugger. The umbrella I just bought has little pink heart motifs on it. It threatens my masculinity.

via TweetDeck

@danielstone In any event the plan is to return to the inner west as soon as I can manage both cashflows and time to househunt.

via TweetDeck in reply to danielstone

@danielstone The owner did the 60-day no-reason thing, presumably to tart it up a bit and raise the rent. I’m not really sure.

via TweetDeck in reply to danielstone

Methinks I shall get my errands done early, like now, and then I can ponder the “Patch Monday” stuff at my leisure. Goodness. A plan!

via TweetDeck

Pondering whether to assemble the guests for “Patch Monday” into a panel or to record individual interviews. Six of one…

via TweetDeck

I must get back into writing more on my own website, other than just the Weekly Wrap posts.

via TweetDeck

New blog post: “Weekly Wrap 41” http://arseh.at/540 The usual links to the media I made during the week.

via TweetDeck

@johnnysd Ta for the lead on @rexster, I will start prodding people when it gets to a reasonable hour.

via TweetDeck in reply to johnnysd

I guess @nichac is an obvious guest on Twitter’s buzz measurement, indeed @DrMiaow. I must admit I’m a skeptic of all that stuff.

via TweetDeck

@metarand I got drenched yesterday when walking from Camperdown into the Broadway Cinemas. Mind you, I love the rain.

via TweetDeck in reply to metarand

@HarrietTibet There’s LOTS to talk about in terms of Twitter for media monitoring, yes. Now my trick will be choosing the key topics!

via TweetDeck

@jdub I will be in touch later to make a time for the chat. I’m probably going to record during the afternoon.

via TweetDeck in reply to jdub

Oh God, yes, I suppose talking about the “buzz” analytics is essential too. And the “influence” myth. Getting people on Sunday is the trick.

via TweetDeck

@jdub I know your view isn’t particularly negative, which is precisely why I want to talk to you. I was one of the negative ranters.

via TweetDeck in reply to jdub

I suppose I should talk to some people about how Twitter has changed the way they work, too. Who might be interesting for that?

via TweetDeck

@jdub Yes, I’m a fan of GREAT BIG NUMBERS without context. But would you like to chat about Twitter’s new API rules?

via TweetDeck in reply to jdub

I’m now thinking that the “Patch Monday” podcast could be about Twitter on its fifth birthday. Whaddyareckon?

via TweetDeck

Sun plan, unordered: Buy replacement umbrella, again; produce “Patch MOnday” podcast; a little writing; a little reading; a little relaxing.

via TweetDeck

@danielstone I left the Enmore house in early February. I’m living in the Blue Mountains temporarily, visiting Sydney weekly.

via TweetDeck in reply to danielstone

Hello, Sunday. You’re wet. Very wet. I have seen the pictures.

via TweetDeck

Time to go “thud”.

via TweetDeck

@sroc That’s fairly bad, even for this hour.

via TweetDeck in reply to sroc

Back at the apartment in Chippendale. I seem to have lost my umbrella, which is annoying. I bought it in America, you know. For money.
