Thud time for me. I can feel another insomniac night ahead, and know I have a busy morning ahead.

via TweetDeck

@adamwith1d Possibly. More symmetrical comms might emerge organically over time. Or not. It’s not something I try to push, personally.

via TweetDeck

@adamwith1d Yeah but you can interact whether people follow you or not. Drawing attention to following makes that the focus IMO. YMMV etc.

via TweetDeck

Ah lovely. Tonight’s forecast minimum temperature does not have a minus sign in front of it.

via TweetDeck

My opinion only, @adamwith1d, but as soon as you TRY to get followers you’ve made it all about your metrics rather than human communication.

via TweetDeck

RT @adamwith1d: Is there proper etiquette for encouraging people to re-follow & interact … [No. Just be you. People will follow, or not.]

Dear PR Operatives, my junket calendar for July is empty. You know what to do. Yes, I know that’s pathetic.

via TweetDeck

My next Sydney visits should be this Tue 28/6 to Wed 29/6, then Fri 1/7 to Sun 3/7. Very much subject to change.

Core discussion for the “Patch Monday” podcast is now edited. Another interview to record at 0900, then some packaging, and it’s done.

via TweetDeck

“Patch Monday” recording with @NewtonMark and @peterjblack is done. Now for a quick edit before bed.

RT @danpatmore: SMS “use” to 176. @Telstra will respond with your data usage. [Ta. But it’s still 6h old. I could use 20% of quote in 3h.]

via TweetDeck

@peterjblack I am working under the assumption you’ll be on the Skype.

About to record for the “Patch Monday” podcast with @NewtonMark and @peterjblack. May the gods help me.

RT @josh909: I’ve just been told I have the social skills of a three month old ferret on smack. Brilliant. [I want that ferret.]

via TweetDeck

@dananimal I’ll probably end up using Expression Media, but I may outsource transcripts of interviews if I can get good turnaround times.

The German bakery in Wentworth Falls is good, yes, @Gwyntaglaw. But it’s late in the weekend and I’m not really a sweet-tooth. Nought got.

via TweetDeck

@dananimal I do use iTunes, but my “problem” is source material: ABC programs, raw recordings of interviews, panels etc.

via TweetDeck in reply to dananimal

@dananimal I’m not really using anything to manage audio files at the moment. File names, dates, search on related scripts etc. Lame, eh?

via TweetDeck in reply to dananimal

That’s the shopping errand done. That’ll do me through until Tuesday morning. And then I’ll be heading to Sydney, probably.

Mobile: Walk the dirt tracks then Railway Pde to Wentworth Falls; shopping; cab back so I can prep for my 1830 recording session.

Nearly 7 hours later, with some breaks, I’ve recorded and mixed the first 7 minutes of “Patch Monday”. Time for a proper break!

I can now confirm that tomorrow’s “Patch Monday” podcast will definitely cover ISP-level internet filtering.

@einspruch Do you know what sort of accuracy / performance a machine transcript can give with phone interviews? Can you recommend one?

via TweetDeck in reply to einspruch

@UnderTheSea2011 Thank you. But which interview are you referring to? I posted a whole bunch yesterday. Curious to know which.

I need a better system for archiving my audio. It’s taking hours to find a few 15-second grabs of Senator Conroy saying specific stuff.

Grrr. My Telstra Next G mobile data usage thingy ain’t updated since 22 Jun. Makes it tricky to avoid overrun charges. Not happy, Jan.

Plodding thru pre-production for the “Patch Monday” podcast. Trying to write a short “the story so far” on internet filtering. It’s tricky.

Sun plan, unordered: Produce “Patch Monday” podcast; write article; errand Wentworth Falls; schedule next Sydney visits; more pondering.

@chieftech “Like” and “+1” have clear intent. But I RT many things I disagree with. I’d have thought that was obvious. Obviously not.

Erm, I’m just tweeting what I’m reading, @chieftech. I didn’t add a value judgement either way.

Sunday. I suppose. It would’ve been better if Madam Insomnia had allowed me some decent sleep, but on must make do.
