martynpedler Somehow we’ve become convinced ‘ranting’ is one of the easiest ways to be entertaining, when actually it’s one of the hardest.

OrkneyLibrary Some people suggesting our fantastic prize isn’t very good. It’s a book. We’re a Library. What did you want - a caravan? This isn’t Bullseye

Apparently they don’t have vaginas in Michigan, which presumably explains some of their economic problems.

I am back at @bunjaree and now declare an official down-tools. Whatever it was that you thought was so important can keep ‘til Monday.

via Janetter for Mac

I’m going shopping now, in Double Bay on Hill. It’s possible I may become upset.

@Drag0nista Lost followers because you used a perfectly good Anglo-Saxon word proscribed as part of Norman class warfare? No loss.

And football wonders why it has an image problem. Arsehats. pic.twitter.com/6yY7bXbZ

It creeps me out when my avatar is appropriate.

via Janetter for Mac

Drag0nista Honestly, if we’re trying to be edgy and shove freedom of speech up the collective Yank nose, shouldn’t we use cunt instead of vagina?

piawaugh Does anyone else get mildly offended when someone introduces themselves as a “thinker”? I feel like responding “so what are you saying?” :)

Just rolling the numbers in my head, we should be able to have this guy’s name by 1600 AEST. pic.twitter.com/xSwAxm9s

via Janetter for Mac

In fact asking this bloke here pic.twitter.com/xSwAxm9s about his sexual security would be a great bit of tabloid TV. You know what to do.

via Janetter for Mac

RT @Asher_Wolf: @bengrubb sorry to hear about your shitty experience. this one’s for you: pic.twitter.com/xSwAxm9s [Oh fuck it, let this trend.]

@caseyjohnellis @mukimu How much LSD could you buy for $1 billion? And where could you dump it? Now THAT would be transforming society!

via Janetter for Mac in reply to caseyjohnellis

@RummijM @feed_the_chooks Keep your fantasies to yourself!

via Janetter for Mac

My steak has just arrived so I suddenly don’t care about any of you at all.

via Janetter for Mac

@mukimu Mind you, if I had $1 billion I wouldn’t spend it on either of those things.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to mukimu

@mukimu Yeah, but with Instagram you get their children too. Win. I don’t think it’s as clear a decision. Emerging global middle class FTW.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to mukimu

@hortovanyi Ah, and how are we communicating again? ;) THE FOOTURE IS HERE!

via Janetter for Mac in reply to hortovanyi

@mukimu There’s far more consumers than enterprise users, and I think they have a bigger discretionary spend.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to mukimu

@mukimu Except… Instagram gets you onto individual consumers’ phones, with location tracking and the opportunity for up- and cross-sell.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to mukimu

mukimu If I had $1bn, I don’t think it’d be a hard choice between Yammer and Instagram. Who has more money: enterprise or happy snappers?

via TweetDeck (retweeted on 1:50 PM, Jun 15th, 2012 via Janetter for Mac)

@hortovanyi Hmmm. I see it as at least a starting-point for discussions about the assumptions and the variables. I see we’ll disagree. :)

via Janetter for Mac in reply to hortovanyi

@hortovanyi I can’t help but feel you’re applying (false) logic, “This came from a corporation, therefore bullshit”. I’m still reading tho.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to hortovanyi

@hortovanyi I did some (very small amount of) work for IBM a few years ago and was impressed with their insistence on intellectual rigour.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to hortovanyi

@hortovanyi Well, I know you can’t create a catch-all “most corporates” category and generalise to all. That’s a logical flaw…

Mobile: Cab to Leura; lunch at Alexandra Hotel; then either writing then shopping, or shopping then writing. Do I feel like writing? No.

@michaelmeloni A chaff bag is a bag you put chaff in, so a hessian sack generally.

via Plume for Android in reply to michaelmeloni

Here’s the PDF of ACMA’s decision on Alan Jones’ “chaff bag” comments. acma.gov.au/webwr/_assets/…

via Janetter for Mac

Pleased to see ACMA understands the difference between hyperbole and genuine incitement to violence, and that even Mr Jones has free speech.

Fri plan: Fix client email marketing problem; lunch; write for @CSO_Australia; plan “Patch Monday” podcast; shopping; dinner; collapse.

via Janetter for Mac

@HarrisonPolites Good. “Corporate” twitter feeds that pretend the entire rest of the universe doesn’t exist are tedious and disrespectful.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to HarrisonPolites

Are PR campaigns ever NOT “orchestrated”? Whichever arsehat politician said that, push them into the river now.

via Janetter for Mac

@staticsan Well, if that was the first phone call in a week, it shows how “fiddling with the ring tone” was, and should be, low priority.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to staticsan

@hortovanyi I think it’s “a little bit ridiculous” to dismiss all attempts at long-range forecasting, like a climate-change denier. ;)

via Janetter for Mac in reply to hortovanyi

@hortovanyi Long-term projections can be useful (e.g. UN population projections), depending on methodology. Which I haven’t read yet.

Obviously I am not yet sufficiently attuned to Samsung’s world inspired by twigs and pebbles.

via Janetter for Mac

Oh. The twee music that sounded like the start of an ABC arts program was actually the Samsung Galaxy S III saying I had a phone call.
