If you missed the whole “What is @AppDotNet?” bit, I wrote technologyspectator.com.au/appnets-freemi… and crikey.com.au/2013/02/26/the… when they went freemium.

via Janetter for Mac

Are people still interested in getting @AppDotNet invites? I suppose I should distribute a few.

RT @JM77: Blame Samsung. [Why?]

RT @michaelneale: @stilgherrian I use this plugin github.com/panicsteve/clo… to make your tweet look like this. pic.twitter.com/HU0GYZBfDn [Good!]

I think Stalin is on this train.

Helpfully, the Samsung Galaxy S III and LG Optimus G have their “back” and “menu” buttons on opposite sides.

Pro Tip: Things will not have been synced via Dropbox if you have previously gotten annoyed and turned off Dropbox.

via Janetter for Mac

@SnarkyPlatypus Perhaps you need a Buzzword Bingo Broomhandle.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

I’m starting to suspect that syncing stuff from one phone to another via the cloud, in a train, in the mountains, was ill-advised.

RT @semiboganman: the quiet carriage still exists?! [Not today, no. *winks*]

via Janetter for Mac

This seat of four mediterranean women of a certain age discussing world affairs is not in keeping with the spirit of the Quiet Carriage.

via Janetter for Mac

“Please stand behind the yellow line until shunting operations have been completed.”

via Plume for Android

@JM77 Indeed. I’ll switch to the LG Optimus G from my Samsung Galaxy S III for a few weeks and compare.

via Plume for Android in reply to JM77

Starting the journey west.

via Plume for Android

@JM77 And you! An… interesting morning.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to JM77

RT @nphair: Will be on SBS news tonight talking RBA (hack…) [Gosh, they let anyone on these days… ;)]

via Janetter for Mac

I’m guessing I should’ve been clearer about it being a technology-related anger that I could write about.

via Janetter for Mac

So the lack of clouds, hair loss, and ferrets. Thanks, guys.

via Janetter for Mac

So what should I be angry about today?

via Janetter for Mac

@caseyjohnellis I was at the MCA for the Australian launch of the LG Optimus G phone.

via Plume for Android in reply to caseyjohnellis

OH: “Now there’s nothing like killing these pigs on a big screen.”

via Plume for Android

This is the super phone, apparently instagr.am/p/WxkcBSCFqO/

We are now heading to another place for phone-fondling sessions. A certain amount of discretion will apply to the Twitterstream now.

via Janetter for Mac

@jplonie “Point out”? We are watching presentations. I am absorbing the ancient wisdom of Korea.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to jplonie

Now Andrew Volard, director of device management and operations at Telstra, is explaining all the Gs. 4G traffic growing 20% per month.

via Janetter for Mac

Oh now there should be a lot more web browser plugins like this! betabeat.com/2013/03/chrome… HT @jennylmackinnon

via Janetter for Mac

Mr John Stefanac, president, Qualcomm SE Asian & Pacific, is explaining all the cores.

via Janetter for Mac

I wish to have a quiet conversation in a dark alley with the director of this TVC for Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

via Janetter for Mac

I see that certain people have invented cyber potatoes. Only good will come of this, I can feel it in my bones.

via Janetter for Mac

The LG Optimus G is available today from Telstra, Phone Zone, Leading Edge and JB Hi-Fi. Includes bonus Miracast Wireless dongle.

via Janetter for Mac

The LG Optimus G TV commercial starting on Australian TV this weekend leads with the “quad core processor”. Surely punters don’t care?

via Janetter for Mac

Don’t worry, @paulwallbank, it seems @dr_nic and I and some others have it all under control… $lg

via Janetter for Mac

RT @SocialMediaGun: I invented mobile phone wallpaper [Hah!]

via Janetter for Mac

I don’t know how we ever managed to use telephones that didn’t have personalised wallpaper.

via Janetter for Mac

This QSlide feature is really just a workaround for the fact that phones have tiny tiny tiny screens. We need 27” phones.

via Janetter for Mac

I certainly won’t tweet the specs and feature list, because the internet.

via Janetter for Mac

“Introducing the long-awated and somewhat-overdue Optimus G to Australia…” Well there’s an honest comment.

via Janetter for Mac

RT @ShaneLuder: True of lens brands. And just because it has the name doesn’t mean that tiny bit of glass has the quality. [Tru dat. ]

via Janetter for Mac

@Leighlo The lens brand doesn’t concern consumers, I suspect, no. Though Zeiss lenses are a cut above the pimple-cam lenses elsewhere. ;)

via Janetter for Mac in reply to Leighlo

LG’s targets are to sell 10 million smartphones per quarter globally. How does that compare with others’ sales?

via Janetter for Mac

In the pre-paid phone market, LG has risen from 6th market position in June 2012 to 2nd now. From 6th to 4th spot as % value. Really?

via Janetter for Mac

One more, LG has listed bigger and better cameras as one of their key features. But… Nokia Lumia has Car Zeiss lenses. Hmmm…

via Janetter for Mac

LG says they have an unaided brand awareness of 76% in Australia, and 10% of consumers named it as their preferred electronic brand.

via Janetter for Mac

LG reckons that today marks the end of them being a “fast follower”… “The first step to success is self-confidence.”

via Janetter for Mac

“A new dawn for the for the mobile phone market in Australia”, apparently. This’ll be interesting.

via Janetter for Mac

So I’m now going to be tweeting from LG’s Australian launch of the Optimus G “Superphone”, which Other Countries have had for a while.

via Janetter for Mac

@SnarkyPlatypus Hélas, le Japon n’a pas été me traiter bien ces derniers temps. Je suis fonctionner seuls.

via Plume for Android in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@SnarkyPlatypus Bonjour. Je suis entouré par l’art, et je suis en attente pour les Coréens. Et vous?

via Plume for Android in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

Mobile: Making my way to Circular Quay by train, then walking to the Museum of Contemporary Art.

via Janetter for Mac

I’m particularly interested in seeing how LG is going to pitch their smartphone, given the dominance of Apple and Samsung. Also-rans?

via Janetter for Mac

Wed plan, draft: 0830 LG Optimus G launch, MCA; return to Wentworth Falls, writing en route and once I get there, exact timing TBA.

via Janetter for Mac

Oh hello, Wednesday, such that you are.
