The nightmare is nearly over.

Why are people picking on North Korea? They’ve been busy addressing the global shortage of fake hovercraft! theatlantic.com/infocus/2013/0…

via Janetter for Mac

Sorry that I haven’t responded to many of your tweets today. It’s been a cunny Saturday.

via Janetter for Mac

Yay. Story finally filed for @CSO_Australia. What an effingly annoying week! Beer please! Oh wait.

via Janetter for Mac

Adding bonus feelpinions to my article.

via Janetter for Mac

I have arrived at Wentworth Falls and am having a beer to: 1. finish my @CSO_Australia story; 2. deal with bad news from the engineers.

Help. “The classical security paradigm of Protect, Detect, React” is classical, yes, but it wasn’t written by Beethoven. Who was it?

via Janetter for Mac

I am about to take the 1218 from Central to the Blue Mountains. However OS X tells me I don’t have enough battery reserves to make it.

RT @giz_au: New Cyber Therapists Can Diagnose Depression Using Kinect - bit.ly/13EE95K [You’re doing it wrong. Cyber = badness.]

via Janetter for Mac

So do you know what I am going to do? I am going to go have brunch before writing on the train westward. That’s what I’m going to do.

via Janetter for Mac

@darrenarnott Cyber black t-shirt, yes, but I should’ve warn a hoodie of hackerdom.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to darrenarnott

@Mal_2509 Not yet. There was a typo in the ethernet config, but that’s not all apparently. Anyway, an engineer is on the case.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to Mal_2509

@unixbigot Oh dear. You are absolutely right. I am an arsehat. But so, apparently, is everyone else. Shocked? Sad fuck? All this is true.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to unixbigot

So it’s 10 minutes or so until I’m on @ABCNews24 talking about the cybers. No digital TV? Streamed at abc.net.au/news/abcnews24/ @cyber

@SnarkyPlatypus @SnarkyPlatypus Maybe the Easter Testicle are full of Quaaludes. [There’s a sentence you don’t see every day.)

@SnarkyPlatypus Well, there are other Green Rooms in this building. Green Rooms only sound glamorous to the uninitiated.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

@chading_aus Indeed. My theory is that the buzzwords go up as understanding of the topic goes down.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to chading_aus

Can you see them? The @ABCNews24 green room has Easter eggs! instagram.com/p/XdWud2iFiv/

@chrisjrn Oh I think it could be better described as “fucking magnificent”.

via Plume for Android in reply to chrisjrn

@franksting I got a little bit of sleep, between about 2200 and 0100. But I wasn’t drinking. I’ll look tired but not hungover. I hope.

Mobile: Check out; train to Town Hall station; pants, purchase some; get to ABC Ultimo by 1000 for the 1010 spot on @ABCNews24.

via Janetter for Mac

I’ll ignore that suggestion, @SnarkyPlatypus, and just make use of the time I have to grab a clean pair of pants on the way through the CBD.

via Janetter for Mac

RT @SnarkyPlatypus: The ABC should have an emergency belt, surely. [HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!]

via Janetter for Mac

More to the point, I seem to have spilt something onto the lap of my pants that makes me look like I’ve been having sex with a seagull.

via Janetter for Mac

My belt buckle just broke. And @ABCNews24 Weekend Breakfast is pants-on television. Sigh.

via Janetter for Mac

Would somebody be so kind as to record my bit on @ABCNews24 at around 1010 AEDT for me please? Those spots don’t end up on iView.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

Sat plan: Wrap these effing server problems; 1000 AEDT @ABCNews24; finish @CSO_Australia story; return to Wentworth Falls; drink everything.

via Janetter for Mac

@SnarkyPlatypus Bonjour. L’univers entier est complètement et totalement baisé. Et vous?

via Janetter for Mac in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

Ah yes, having two different DEVICE= lines in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0:99 will fuck things up. Well spotted.

via Janetter for Mac

So guys, you probably should’ve figured out that failed interface problem before rebooting the server again. Dunno whether to laugh or cry.

via Janetter for Mac

Suddenly realising that knowing what “cat /etc/fstab | grep nas” means and actually choosing to type it makes me… something.

via Janetter for Mac

@Mal_2509 When the server was rebooted, one of the Ethernet interfaces didn’t come back up. We don’t know why, yet.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to Mal_2509

Right, the server appears to be back online. Now let’s find out what the fuck went wrong.

via Janetter for Mac

Sat plan, draft: Get this effing server fixed; check out; 1000 AEDT @ABCNews24; finish @CSO_Australia story; return to Wentworth Falls.

via Janetter for Mac

Hmmm. 0330 AEDT. The odds of getting back to sleep before having to get the main part of the day started are pretty bloody tiny.

via Janetter for Mac

I do not wish to be discussing what a data centre engineer can see on my server when he plugs in a KVM. At least not when he’s seeing this.

via Janetter for Mac

Things should not escalate TO me but AWAY from me.

via Janetter for Mac

I’m thrilled to be awake at this hour. The support team upgrading a server ran into upfuckage, and it escalated back to me because arsehats.
