@WP_DownUnder Ah, I’ll hav handed this back by then. I’m just trialling it for a couple weeks. Seems a great piece of kit though.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to WP_DownUnder

@WP_DownUnder Good thinking. I’ll do that in the morning.

I’d ridiculed the idea of 34 megapixels, but Nokia’s people pointed out it means you can crop and re-frame images. That’ll be interesting.

via Janetter for Mac

I’ve just been setting up the loaner Nokia Lumia 1020. The Nokia Pro Cam app is rather well thought-through. 34 megapixels is… a lot.

via Janetter for Mac

I always wonder about ministers announcing that they’ll cooperate with the police, as if some other option were under consideration.

via Janetter for Mac

It’s nice to see that this Federation thing is working out.

via Janetter for Mac

Acting defence minister Brandis says Australian Defence Force will fully cooperate with NSW authorities, including NSW Police. Oh good.

via Janetter for Mac

@jeamland Agreed. But the quality was excellent. I approve of the arrangements that were made.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to jeamland

I clearly haven’t had enough to drink. I just set up a smartphone’s internet access manually and got it right first time.

@skwashd Sure, you know the airport better than me. I’ve just arrived on VA858.

via Plume for Android in reply to skwashd

@ Virgin Australia Thanks. And hey, your crew kept us informed so there’s obviously no problem with weather delays.

via Plume for Android

Touchdown Melbourne, finally.

via Plume for Android

Transmitters off. See you in Melbourne.

Ah, SYD is doing single runway ops because of the high winds. We’ll push back at 1655 AEDT.

RT @jeamland Put them in the overhead bins. Just be careful, they may move during flight. [Not if we gas them. Ping @ApostrophePong]

That seems to be the consensus, @garthk. Two podcasts, two chunky, slow news stories, trust my judgement.

We have VH-VUE, still in old Virgin Blue livery. We are not boarding yet.

via Plume for Android

So this theory that VA858 is departing at 1618 AEDT now. The likelihood of this happening would be enhanced by the presence of an aircraft.

via Janetter for Mac

RT @dobes: “Left-liberalia” sounds amazing, how do I get there? Wear more sandals? Drink more lattes? [Sounds more like lady-parts.]

via Janetter for Mac

Goodbye, VH-YVC, enjoy your flight to Melbourne. [Waves.]

via Janetter for Mac

They are now pulling back the aeroplane that is in the way of my aeroplane.

via Janetter for Mac

@jeamland I would like to try that, yes. My flight lands at 1753 and I’ll get the SkyBus into the CBD and check in, so you do the maths.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to jeamland

@Snipergirl Well I’m personally on the way to Melbourne right now, but word from @R_Chirgwin is that @bunjaree is safe for now.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to Snipergirl

VA858 is delayed until 1623.

via Plume for Android

And now the dash to check out and get to the airport.

via Janetter for Mac in reply to dobes

@dobes @engochick Yes, somehow the bicycle bell means “Get out of my fucking way!” here, not “Hello, be careful I am behind you.”

That’d be the Diebold that makes ATMs and voting machines, so corruption issues are clearly not relevant.
