Weekly Wrap 841: Enjoying Wollongong, but heaps late

I had another couple of days off this week, Monday 6 to Sunday 12 July 2026, visiting Wollongong after a gap of 21 years. Very enjoyable. But when combined with my lovely time in Newcastle last week, it means I’m now well behind where I wanted to be this month.

And now I’m running late with everything, including chasing up my compensation for The Lost Module — although on Sunday I was persuaded to alter my strategy in a way that will benefit me so that’s good — various administrivia, and even this Weekly Wrap. So be it.

Articles

Nothing this week. I decided to skip doing The Weekly Cybers and enjoy my time in Wollongong. It may well be a bigger edition in the coming week.

Podcasts, Photos, Videos, Media Appearances, Corporate Largesse

None of these, although I have a few little videos that I might post soon, and there’s plenty of other things in the queue — including two podcasts that are ready to edit. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel to be notified when new videos appear and when the occasional livestreams are scheduled.

I’m skipping this section again this week. I am running way too late, sorry.

The Week Ahead

It’s already well into Monday, and it will be a day of planning and administrivia. The rest of this month needs to be both productive and at least slightly lucrative.

On Tuesday I’m going on some sort of excursion with Swiss-Chinese train enthusiast David Feng. We’re not sure what we’re doing yet, although we’ll definitely be catching the Sydney Metro out to Tallawong.

On Wednesday I’ll finally edit and post the podcast with Snarky Platypus that looks back at our Bingo Card 2026.

The Weekly Cybers newsletter will appear on Friday afternoon, as is right and proper.

In between all that I’ve got some client work to catch up on. I’ll also kick off the crowdfunder for The 9pm Edict‘s spring series — although I might give it another name. If you’d like to get in early, something that would come in very handy right now, you can always throw me a tip.
