@mpesce May you enjoy my home town of Adelaide, sir! I’m sure you’ll survive.

@allisonr Dear Miss Alison: Yes, the “random semi-related posts” is a WordPress plug-in. It’s part of Simple Tags. http://is.gd/9kH

@decryption I think I must follow you because you annoy @Nickhodge’s crotch.

I’ve decided to start podcasting (finally). My initial thoughts are online. http://is.gd/9kB Comments?

@Akula Yes, I was wondering about “lovely” and “Microsoft Publisher” in the same sentence. ;) Mind you, I haven’t used it in ages.

Retweet @Akula: An apt sign from a workplace bathroom (which he claims credit for). http://tinyurl.com/4zkjzy

@SnarkyPlatypus You need to subscribe to The Bugle podcast. 30 mins weekly of news and current affairs snarkiness. http://is.gd/50G

@mpesce If you’re in a killing mood, then Adelaide is your perfect destination, of course. Shallow graves and bank vaults are the key.

@textism I do like “twat” as the past tense of “tweet”, as in “Tim Bray twat the other day that…” http://is.gd/9jK Protect strong verbs!

@aDB My Twitter spew count: tweets x followers = 1660 x 165 = 273,900. That presumably means I’m not 7-digit Twitter Mafia.

Know why WordPress dashboard fails: times out waiting to check http://tarskitheme.com for updates, when that site is down. I guess I wait.

via Twitter Web Client

Figuring out why a WordPress dashboard won’t render. Gets stuck halfway through, but was working OK earlier today.

Interesting RSS reader GUI: “Times” for OS X released in 5 days. Is it style over substance? Does it skew news priority? http://is.gd/9qZ

@trib Transparency helps. Companies’ CS performance improves when their actions are public. Transparency always helps, long term.

@leslien Yes I know, my life theme is probably “It’s people like you what causes unrest.” ;)

via Twitter Web Client

“People powered”, like “self-service” before it, means NO service. Leave it for someone else to fix. Irresponsible.

via Twitter Web Client

@paullyoung @trib Parallel to my conversation! Get Satisfaction scary: lets companies leave hard-basket to unpaid cloudworkers and rumour.

@leslien Too often customer service is measured as a cost. Get them off the line fast, rather than measuring whether problem solved.

via Twitter Web Client

Customer service staff need to ask, after every call, “How did I make that person’s life better/easier?” System won’t let you? Resign now!

via Twitter Web Client

The concept of “service” is doing something to make someone’s life better/easier. Why does “customer service” usually make things harder?

@SnarkyPlatypus is using CAPITAL LETTERS instead of *asterisks* for emphasis in his personal emails. He must be having a c*&$ful Monday.

@garthk Thanks for the support re starting podcasting. Tech tests later this week. First episode probably 8 or 9 May. http://is.gd/9kB

@88Michael I wasn’t recommending Big Brother. Still, it’s interesting as a psych experiment that any uni’s ethics committee would ban.

@Nickhodge If you lke weird midgets you will appreciate this contestant in Big Brother 08. http://is.gd/9lL
