@JonoH “Snatch” is an excellent film. It’s pretty much a working-class version of a classic English caper film. That series “Hustle”… ah!

@JonoH Yeah I figure if I’m spending the $ then it might as well be HD… though my “live” stuff is just webcam resolution (for now).

Looks like I’ll have to re-do DV camera research. Firewire is a MUST. Flash memory would be nice, then HDD then (ugh!) tape.

via Twitter Web Client

@mpesce Re the Canon HF10, shame no Firewire. Solid state memory was a plus. If it does USB into OS X then Wirecast, but US$500 software. :(

Good God! Foxtel’s comedy channel has a marathon of “The Games”!

At Kelly’s On King, awaiting the roast pork and thinking creative things for the evolution of Stilgherrian Live.

@DrMiaow His & Hers Class C subnets? That is SEVERELY geeky.

@gnoll110 Yes, Geoff Huston is certainly one of the smartest people in the room. I must dig out an excellent quote he gave me once.

IPv6 doomed, IP addresses running out, panic buying to begin soon, predicts APNIC chief scientist Geoff Huston. http://is.gd/1RGd

@paulmckeon Newer, indeed, is not necessarily better. Take The Wheel, an oldie but a goodie… ;)

In Better Read Than Dead. I desire a book, but every time I pick one up I think, “But there’s newer stuff online, free.” Why am I here?

Loose on King Street.

@mpesce Ah, no Firewire interface on the Canon HF10? That’s a show-stopper for me… literally. Cam Twist only talks to Firewire cams.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

@mpesce Have you discovered any negatives to your Canon HF10 video camera? I’m going shopping this week…

via Twitter Web Client in reply to mpesce

You can never have too many graphs.

Man walking briskly, talking loudly to no-one: “They’re distorting the reality. All the time, they’re distorting the reality!”

@DvRogers Oh hai, ur seismic art at http://is.gd/1Szs is… intriguing. I’ve made a note to explore later. “I’ll be in touch.”

@SnarkyPlatypus Perhaps we need a new program segment, “A Guide to Sphincters”, sponsored by Gastrostop. Ah, Mondays… [sigh]

Mon plan: A desk day, gently working on various client projects; 1630 client meeting Darlinghurst; chiropractor somewhen then; quiet night.

@crispynoodles Thanks, I’ve had a lot of support so far for the 1-hour format. Some fun ideas have been emerging.

Emerges. Stretches. Aches. Observers. Groans. Strangles.

I am collapsed. Possibly prolapsed, too, but I’ll post the pics tomorrow.

@Nickhodge I Googled “nick” just now, you’re not on my first page. Not in 5 first 5 pages for me. Maybe Google suspects.

And now my work is done. Sleep beckons, with a large blue plastic funnel and litre of warm water.

@bengrubb ‘Google “18 year old missionary” and I come up 4th.’? Bah! Try ‘used knickers’ or ‘neocon sex kitten’… ;)

Correction: “may firms” -> “many forms”. All hail Eris!

@gnoll110 I haven’t actually met Geoff Huston, we exist only thru email. I note he owns http://au.net/ though. ;)

@firstdogonmoon Sadly the line about webbed feet isn’t mine so, um, use it at your leisure. ;)

@fictillius 157 King Street? No, you should be at 285 King Street! That’s where all Teh K00l Kidz are. Well, its where I am…

@confusedmachine Clarendon has trivia on Tuesday? Gawd. Well, I’m not the organiser, I’m just pimping it ‘cos he thinks I’m a celeb. LOL.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to confusedmachine

@artywah I think there are two kinds of zydeco musical instruments, the accordian and the discordian.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to artywah

@deconstructo “I can see Eris in my mind… with a BIG Afro and flairs… this is not right.” Eris takes on may firms, Sir!

via Twitter Web Client in reply to deconstructo

@deconstructo Does it MATTER if Eris was worshipped before the Discordians? Remember, the first 2 syllables of Discordianism are “Disco”.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to deconstructo

@JonoH I agree, The 3 Weeds is a fine pub, but whoever organised it has chosen the Clarendon. Who am I to differ?
