Well unless anyone is buying me dinner in the CBD in the next 10 minutes, I’m heading home.

via TweetDeck

No @Colvinius it was not Rockpool. It was back when Bob Carr was Premier and… OK ‘nuff said. Anyway I gave him his wallet back afterwards.

via TweetDeck

“Searchin’ - looking for love / all the time I can / Searchin’ - looking for love / I’ve got to find a man.” http://bit.ly/a2sEB4

via TweetDeck

Hang on. Does that mean @Colvinius sees my tweets about toilet sex? And he presents “PM”? I. Am. So. Fucked.

via TweetDeck

Declared wrong and colonialist by Wikipedia AND @Colvinius AND @GreenJ? I am so wrong. http://bit.ly/74zKY

via TweetDeck

I retract my use of “the” before “Ukraine”. Apparently I am ignorant and out of touch. Nothing new there. http://bit.ly/3kB0l

via TweetDeck

I have never had random toilet sex with members of Human Nature, @SnarkyPlatypus. Cabinet office staffers, different story. Shoosh.

via TweetDeck

I love it when I realise the people drinking at the next table are certain politicians. I should keep better company.

via TweetDeck

If the Ukraine emails back, @andrewdotnich, then I can recover some of my self-respedct. What’s got to do with it?

via TweetDeck

Emailing the Ukraine. As you do.

via TweetDeck

Repeating… twtlab.com/love uses OAuth. It is not in itself a security risk. Being taken offline must have just been overload.

via TweetDeck

RT @Cacotopos: I suspect it was just a clever little app someone threw together on free hosting, then got smashed with bandwidth. [Agree]

via TweetDeck

OK I take it all back re twtlab.com/love. It uses OAuth. They must’ve just sorted their hosting problem in the last hour.

via TweetDeck

Hang on. Stand by.

via TweetDeck

@Cacotopos Did it use OAuth? Or did it just ask for your Twitter account details?

via TweetDeck in reply to Cacotopos

In this case, though, let’s not blame the Russians. twtlab.com is registered in the Ukraine.

via TweetDeck

Pro tip: Don’t EVER give your login details for one service to some other, random, service. ESPECIALLY if it didn’t exist yesterday.

via TweetDeck

“This account has been suspended. Resources Account have been exhausted or you have violated rules” In Russian. http://bit.ly/aTFuBn

via TweetDeck

Hey everyone who just used twtlab.com/love, you just gave your Twitter login to The Bad Guys™. Fools.

via TweetDeck

Hah! @mabster It was twtlab.com/love which has just been taken offline and replaced with a Russian holding page.

via TweetDeck

Either this is a far better Shiraz than I realised, or the Rootability Index just went up substantially.

via TweetDeck

Oh if it’s ALL OAuth you’re fine, @jkerrison, your details only go back to the authenticating site.

via TweetDeck

I agree with your point about OAuth, @mabster, except that most folks don’t use OAuth for Twitter, do they?

via TweetDeck

Amused. So many otherwise sensible people give their Twitter logins to a random website to get obvious information about who they retweet.

via TweetDeck

As it happens, I am also now loose in the Sydney CBD. Just so you know.

via TweetDeck

I should also relate that lunch at Rockpool Bar & Grill was more than adequate, despite the toilet music. Details to follow.

via TweetDeck

Maybe I should do a special goat drama edition of the Edict tonight.

via TweetDeck

Also, thank you for sending me this picture, @Nickhodge http://bit.ly/bOl3UQ

via TweetDeck

I am so pleased that people send me the latest goat news, thank you. Suffer, Victoria! http://bit.ly/9h6pCQ

via TweetDeck

So, in the toilet you can listen to a slow arrangement of Jean Michel Jarré’s “Oxygene” for clarinet and accordion…

via Cloudhopper

Scaffolding coming off Neo apartments on Enmore Rd. Yes, it does look a cheaparse construction job. My untrained eye says “avoid”.

via Cloudhopper

Mobile: Enmore Rd; Newtown station; Wynyard station; Rockpool Bar & Grill.

via TweetDeck

Well @mtats Optus bragging that they’re in the “top two” in a market of 3 mobile networks is a tad disingenuous.

via TweetDeck

Well @engochick I use Optus 3G every day. I have yet to see any improvement. Bandwidth still poor, connection dropouts just as frequent.

via TweetDeck

My understanding is Optus’ 3G network problems are both poor backhaul (originally 2Mb/s per cell) and too many users per cell.

via TweetDeck

I probably won’t answer questions that are answered in the story I linked to.

via TweetDeck

Sorry, I should clarify. Optus hasn’t actually fixed it, they’ve just announced that they’re going to fix it. Announcements come cheap.

via TweetDeck

How come it took Optus 2 years to fix their shit mobile data network when Telstra built all of NextG network quicker? http://bit.ly/9Vz7IF

via TweetDeck

This form asks me to provide “Nature of Business e.g. Legal”. As opposed to…?

via TweetDeck

RT @FixedR6: It would be nice if we had a government which wasn’t largely staffed by people we wouldn’t hesitate to push down the stairs.

via TweetDeck

But I assume, @drearyclocks, “polling” on Abbott’s cut-dole-for-under-30s plan is just self-selected angry people? Not actual polling?

via TweetDeck

“Mr Abbott’s comments did not mean the approach was Coalition policy.” Ah, that’s Leadership! http://bit.ly/cgmHU7

via TweetDeck

Popularity is not an end in itself. Congratulating each other for being popular or a “star” is a circle-jerk.

Excellent, @michaelmeloni, is there nothing that Science cannot solve?

via TweetDeck

Wed plan: A variety of interviews, some at my desk, one at 1530 in North Sydney; evening gym, if I don’t fall asleep first.

via TweetDeck

I’m jealous of that cat. She can lick her own nipples, and she has so MANY of them!

via TweetDeck

@SnarkyPlatypus Je ne serais pas opposé complet pour être Googlé.

via TweetDeck in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

“The 9pm Edict”, @einspruch? Just an unexpected hiatus. The season shall resume when the motivation is right. And the insomnia less.

via TweetDeck

“But I Googled you!” So it’s come to this… http://bit.ly/94z8uc

via TweetDeck

@SnarkyPlatypus Bonjour. Je me sens assez dégoûtant. Le sommeil me fuyait. Ce n’est pas un bon début. Et vous?

Emerges, with prejudice.

via TweetDeck

RT @johnhalton: I suspect that many people who claim to like Stockhausen do in fact have Stockholm Syndrome. [True enough.]

via TweetDeck

No no no no no @StephaniePride Stockholm Syndrome and Stockhausen Syndrome are a tad different. ;)

via TweetDeck

Yes, thanks to further comments from @bernietb @ncb VLC seems to be the answer. As it usually is. Ta!

via TweetDeck

RT @oliyoung: Use VLC, it’ll find the srt file automagically (same filename in the same folder) and display it. [Thank you.]

via TweetDeck

So, if a mate has an .avi or .mpg movie, and an .srt subtitle file, how should he combine them on a Mac to make it work?

via TweetDeck

You’re thinking of the Stockholm Syndrome, maybe @KristenObaid? http://bit.ly/Tmsjw

via TweetDeck

Yes @Illdrinn the revamped bistro at the Botany View Hotel on King St South is excellent. Alas, a tad off of my homeward path.

via TweetDeck

@sukiebunny That was hurtful? Sorry, I just get overwhelmed with messages. My avatar choice is just random silliness. I didn’t mean to hurt.

via TweetDeck

Time traveller caught in 1940s museum photo. I knew it! http://bit.ly/ar2KVN

via TweetDeck

Oh, and as an aside, I will never respond to any questions or comments about my choice of Twitter avatar. Ever. You’ll have to cope.

via TweetDeck

Also, did anyone at all appreciate how I properly delimited a subordinate clause with commas? Or should I give up now?

via TweetDeck

Is it just me, or has the food at the Warren View Hotel become really quite drab and, for what it is, over-priced?

via TweetDeck

“Exude confidence and energy” is the next chapter. He nods again. He’d be the dullest fuck in the southern hemisphere.

via Cloudhopper

He nods particularly strongly at one paragraph, takes a yellow highlighter from his well-pressed shirt pocket and marks a sentence.

via Cloudhopper

He reads “The Rules of Work” by Richard Templar, chapter on developing a perfect handshake. He smiles as he reads, nods. Neat fingernails.

via Cloudhopper

Does CityRail have to pay APN to advertise its new tickets on its own billboards?

via Cloudhopper

OH: “Do you excel when you’re put under pressure?” Gawd, work is over, loserdroid!

via Cloudhopper

Wynyard station still looks like an ill-maintained urinal.

via Cloudhopper

There is a fair likelihood I hate you, @Colvinius
