@allisonr Ta. But I don’t think I’m an “HTC spokesmouth”. We’re all specifically instructed to give honest opinions, good or bad.

@creogg Thanks. The birthday weekend was… extensive. :) We shall see what I think of this phone. I’m not easily amazed by such things.

@jplonie No random bus for me. Grabbed slow train Strathfield to Epping, missed connection, 15 mins until next to Beecroft.

via TweetDeck in reply to jplonie

@SophieAG Yes, a guy killed by a train between Newtown and Stanmore on 10 May. Dunno what today’s fatality is about though.

Telstra gets 25 “social reviewers” to look at the HTC Desire. Including me. http://bit.ly/cWY0VA I think I’m more an anti-social reviewer.

Sat plan: AM end-of-week loose ends that didn’t get done yesterday; PM gym / food / drink etc, as usual. Stress must be reduced.

@facibus If Fascism is Manifest Destiny, then Facebook makes IBM’s provision of punch card tech to the Holocaust a mere blip.

via TweetDeck in reply to facibus

RT @facibus: We can expect more bastardry from Facebook for one simple reason: because they can. Web 2.0 Manifest Destiny fascism. [True.]

@jasonlangenauer Oh it was @zephoria’s turn of phrase about Scoble I liked, not necessarily Scoble’s view. I don’t really read him.

via TweetDeck

@jasonlangenauer I particularly like “Scoble wants to expose himself; [always] happy to be more-public-than-thou.” http://bit.ly/a501RX

via TweetDeck

Ah @jasonlangenauer I had not yet seen @zephoria’s rant about Facebook and radical transparency. http://bit.ly/a501RX Thank you.

RT @JohnBirmingham: Editing editing editing when will it end. [The editing ends when your soul is finally and totally crushed, John.]

@SnarkyPlatypus Non, les chats pensent déjà ils sont assis au centre de l’univers. Les chats sont cons.

via TweetDeck in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

Wondering just how much more bastardry Facebook intends to commit.

@SnarkyPlatypus Bonjour. Je suis encore un lit, entouré par des choses brillantes et des choses à fourrure. Et vous?

Needless to say, with that client jon taking 6 hours instead of 3, there won’t be an “Edict” tonight. I am knackered.

Spelling ftl. Bloody predictive text.

Ya for suggesting Twice and Twitroid, @neg2led @MrShlee, but I’ll explore out now. This works ok for now.

@xavier3d Hah! Twitter was my first app too lol. Tragic.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to Xavier_Ho

@jodiem Indeed, the very point is to see if this HTC Desire can actually do my workflows.

via Twitter Web Client in reply to jodiem

Twitter for Android is rather schmic I must say.

Ah, my work at West Pennant Hills is done! That’s a LOT of email synchronisation. I shall have a relaxing journey home, and read.

via TweetDeck

Clients who note how over-time the work has gone and arrange pizza and beer are a blessing.

via TweetDeck

@eddit0r It’s not so much the 1.5Mb downlink but the 128kb uplink. Not having a faster link will cost this client several hours.

via TweetDeck in reply to eddit0r

@jstevenskramer I actually have a blog post coming up about the many, many overworked clichés in IT marketing.

via TweetDeck in reply to jstevenskramer

@jstevenskramer Nevertheless, that modern marketing usage of “quantum leap” is a pretty lame cliché IMO.

via TweetDeck in reply to jstevenskramer

Ah. This is a 1.5Mb ADSL link. That explains why the sync of this email is taking so frigging long. 128kb uplink FTL.

via TweetDeck

Synchronising several thousand emails across various computers. The grey bars grow slowly longer. Slowly.
