And that’s enough of a Monday for me. Let’s see if a decent night’s sleep can be had.

I like the term “Relevance Deprivation Syndrome”, @infoholic, though personally I use “Centre of Attention Deficit Disorder”.

@niltiac LP is politics blog Lavartus Prodeo, the location of the critique of Green I originally linked to at http://arseh.at/3fy

via TweetDeck in reply to niltiac

@niltiac I am not a civil engineer, but the explanation in LP makes sense to me. I guess the Royal Commission will reveal more.

via TweetDeck in reply to niltiac

@niltiac “Flood mitigation” doesn’t mean “magic sprinkles that prevent all floods”. All engineering has its limits.

@EmperorNorton The remaining cat, Apollo, is 5.8kg. He’s lost weight. Artemis is no more, if you missed recent news, but she was smaller.

via TweetDeck in reply to EmperorNorton

@niltiac I’m tempted to say “stopped clock”, but apart from that it was rather spoilt by such howlers. IMO, YMMV etc.

via TweetDeck in reply to niltiac

RT @jasonlangenauer: I’ll may need to borrow someone’s cat, just for 15 minutes or so. [I have rather large one you can have for longer…]

Mind you, if I were environment editor of The Guardian, the first person I’d turn to advice would be Germaine Greer. I mean, obviously.

via TweetDeck

I agree, @BobGrrl, we should do the STFU thing at any age and any fame level. I hope I qualify my comments more often than not.

via TweetDeck

@R_Chirgwin The Lavartus Prodeo post makes is clear Greer was mistaken about a great many things in her piece.

via TweetDeck in reply to R_Chirgwin

I can only hope that when I reach Germaine Greer’s age, famous or not, I remember to STFU about things I know nothing about.

via TweetDeck

Once more it is demonstrated that Germain Greer, for all her past glory, is now an irrelevance. http://arseh.at/3fy

via TweetDeck

OH: “I know, he’s such a fuckwit but, like, free drugs!”

via TweetDeck

OH: “What are the odds of going to two different venues in a week and seeing young blonde women singing?” [Um, “good”, I’d have thought.]

via TweetDeck

How can you even follow that arsehat?

via TweetDeck

RT me: “Patch Monday” podcast: “Flood-proofing your business IT”, plus a chat with qlditrelief.org http://arseh.at/3fj

via TweetDeck

Damnation can be compensated for. Especially with a flexible schedule.

via TweetDeck

One more thing.

via TweetDeck

I’ve probably been anti-social for decades, @captain_beef

via TweetDeck

@DavidFeng Mind you, the “everything around me” I’m in control of has a very small radius… Sigh.

via TweetDeck in reply to DavidFeng

See, I can already tell my friends what I’m reading. I already do. I don’t need you lot to be parasites on that relationship.

via TweetDeck

Surely we can cut out all this “social” malarkey and I’ll just give you five bucks to read the shit people have uploaded.

via TweetDeck

I’m looking at you, Issuu! Also, surname a required field? Bah! Also, asking my age, when that’ll be wrong on my next birthday? Arsehats.

via TweetDeck

So sick of “social”! Every goddam website wants to “connect with your friends”. Can’t I just get on with what I want to do?

via TweetDeck

In control of everything around me.

Wikifloods is matching donors of goods and services with flood victims. http://www.wikifloods.co…

Mobile: Enmore Rd then King St, on a path that’ll include lunch, a haircut and other errands. And also, quite a bit of sweat.

via TweetDeck

I don’t even know what that scenario is, @jonoabroad, but I like the colours. http://arseh.at/3fm

via TweetDeck

I grant you, @wolfcat, that cartoon does match up with sections of the audio production process. http://xkcd.com/303/

via TweetDeck

Thinking up bizarre scenarios.

New “Patch Monday” podcast: “Flood-proofing your business IT”, plus a chat with http://qlditrelief.org http://arseh.at/3fj

via TweetDeck

“Patch Monday” podcast filed!

via TweetDeck

I see @wjpepperell has added his Queensland flood story to my Weekly Wrap post. http://arseh.at/3f7

via TweetDeck

Annoying to you or annoying to those standing nearby?

via TweetDeck

Mon plan: 0800 recording; edit & mix “Patch Monday” podcast; lunch, errands, haircut; rest of afternoon and evening TBA, but busy.

via TweetDeck

@SnarkyPlatypus Bonjour. Je me sens terrible. Le sommeil me fuit, grâce à la féline dieu de bruit. Et vous?

via TweetDeck in reply to SnarkyPlatypus

Oh. Monday. This will not go well.
