Gawd @SnarkyPlatypus there’s no way I’d send personal info in response to such a vague ad. http://arseh.at/3pi

@AndeGregson Pigs can be made into sausages. Amongst other things.

Sir Michael Parkinson’s Australia Day Address is now on ABC iView. If you can’t read. http://arseh.at/3pf You can? http://arseh.at/3nz

Wondering whether two things should become three things.

It’s true @ncb @jojoeffe he just doesn’t understand why I would consume plants when I am not sick.

via TweetDeck

Apollo just glared at me after sniffing the pear cider. He is unimpressed, and is now running away from the bubbles. They hiss.

via TweetDeck

@SnarkyPlatypus I can be lewd with a manhattan. You should watch some time.

@kcarruthers I honestly think that stabbing a few people would help more than wishing on unicorns and rainbows.

Al Jazeera English and X Media Lab have set up an internship program: 3 months in Doha, Qatar. http://arseh.at/3p4

via TweetDeck

I’m not talking any more today about moving, accommodation, removalists or anything even remotely related.

via TweetDeck

I’m currently updating the links in another old blog post. That means you should listen to this song. http://youtu.be/56O1XVmE…

via TweetDeck

@TaraMacca Monday’s blog post will probably answer most of your questions. http://arseh.at/3l0

@OhCrap Sleeping pills are a mixed blessing. I’ve been doing without for now. If the warm nights stay any longer, though…

via TweetDeck in reply to OhCrap

One day my brain may return to normal. Once I get more than four hours sleep in two consecutive nights.

via TweetDeck

@lzcd Do you mean an effect on the perceived level of pedantry, or on the number of stab wounds involved? Either way, it depends.

via TweetDeck in reply to lzcd

@Emmblah It’s quicker and easier just to spit on them, you know.

via TweetDeck in reply to Emmblah

Don’t make me come back there.

via TweetDeck

@trib Crikey already has the Golden Arsehat Awards, otherwise I would give you one right now for that tweet right there. [points]

via TweetDeck in reply to trib

I have just read an article that described something as “rather unique”. Ahem! Either it’s unique, i.e. the only one, or it’s not. Decide.

via TweetDeck

@BobGrrl Im not talking about removalists any more. :)

via TweetDeck in reply to BobGrrl

@BobGrrl These are the PODS you’re thinking of. http://arseh.at/3oy They’re for moving and storage, but you still need to load them.

via TweetDeck in reply to BobGrrl

I am now thoroughly sick of talking about removalists. There should be minions for this sort of shit. Moving atoms is so 19th Century. End.

via TweetDeck

My final comment on removalists: I’ll use them. I’m moving into storage. They have a process. One phone call. Done. Then back to work.

via TweetDeck

I am not a “trashhound”. I don’t even know what that means.

via TweetDeck

OK, that’s nearly an hour about removalists now. That’s enough for me! It’s time to move on. The heat is making me cranky.

via TweetDeck

The apparent cheapness of DIY is generally ‘cos people forget the costs other than direct cash outlay. Every day of chaos kills my income.

via TweetDeck

There seems to be a very strong consensus for me using professional removalists. I’m inclined to agree. Past experience warns against DIY.

via TweetDeck

@AliaK After my last move, I gave the removalists a substantial cash tip. Told them to go have a burger and a couple beers or whatever.

via TweetDeck in reply to AliaK

@daev Well my SFO trip has been confirmed for 14/2 to 20/2. I await the tickets. http://arseh.at/3mw

via TweetDeck in reply to daev

RT @Shaunnagh: I’d go with revivalists. That way you’re covered … [What, with some sort of prayer meeting?]

via TweetDeck

Remembering how frustrated I got working with a non-professional crew on a certain concert. What a headfuck!

via TweetDeck

Agreed, @Bafflegabble @KarlskiB @AliaK, plus real removalists know how to pack a truck and a storage container quickly and efficiently.

via TweetDeck

@daev I’m moving into storage for a month or more. Where will I be living? Hotels and TBA. http://arseh.at/3l0

via TweetDeck in reply to daev

The advantages of removalists are speed, efficiency, one call to organise, low stress factor,. They can organise the storage too.

via TweetDeck

@neilsgardiner Removalists aren’t that expensive, really. Two solid blokes with a truck and insurance for around $90 an hour.

via TweetDeck

Obviously if people have helped you move house you give them alcohol. That goes without saying. Or should.

via TweetDeck

Pondering. Some people offered to help me move. Would dinner for everyone be cheaper than the removalists? It’s all too complicated.

via TweetDeck

I played with physics extensively when I was younger, @mrsnickhodge, and any story that says I was nearly expelled for it is a lie.

via TweetDeck

@deptofinternets A Fatwa always goes so well with horseradish and rye bread.

via TweetDeck

RT @deptofinternets: All you have to do is imagine God’s straining hands, and everything becomes clear. [So if Mohammed was to… um, no.]

via TweetDeck

I think I might have to work the last half an hour of tweets into a blog post. “LHC Goatse” indeed!

via TweetDeck

Wait. Hadrons are GAY?

via TweetDeck

Uhoh. I launched too many complex signals in there all at once. It’ll be tricky to respond to everything now.

via TweetDeck

Twitter is the sociopolitical equivalent of the Large Hadron Collider, if you know how to work it properly.

via TweetDeck

There. That should stir them up a bit.

via TweetDeck

Still trying to get my head around why the government pays a single cent to private schools. Or sports teams, and other indulgences.

via TweetDeck

@NewtonMark Yes, I believe I’ve seen footage of Garrett gloating over the bonfires of the citizenry.

via TweetDeck in reply to NewtonMark

@NewtonMark Peter Garrett’s salary is paid in voters? Are they delivered alive or dead? Clothed or naked?

via TweetDeck in reply to NewtonMark

I saw a troll just then.

via TweetDeck

@ApostrophePong Yep, “steve irwin jokes” still represents nearly 4% of all search-generated traffic to my site. “heath ledger jokes” 1.5%.

via TweetDeck in reply to ApostrophePong

Thanks, @NineSortJam! Sorry, @GreenJ, Elvis is not by strong point. And the heat. I can’t think in the heat. And at my age.

via TweetDeck

RT @GreenJ: Tonka tonka burning love? [Does this even make sense? I am confused…]

via TweetDeck

Hoping “tonka” doesn’t mean something bad.

via TweetDeck

Mobile: My usual middle-of-day lunch-and-errand thing up Enmore Rd and King St, which is now called The Tonka. Thanks, @gkolenc!

Tim Wu @superwuster just confirmed to speak at Digital Directions 2011 [nee Media 2011], Sydney, 3 Mar. http://arseh.at/3ol

via TweetDeck

I already have someone discussing it from a marketing / branding angle, and a mobile strategist. [thinking aloud]

via TweetDeck

To discuss the 3-way cage fight Google / Apple / Microsoft over technology stacks, who’d be good to talk to from a technical viewpoint?

via TweetDeck

Ooh! [squeaks]

via TweetDeck

I have only just discovered the existence of the Digital Living Network Alliance, which shows how much I care. http://arseh.at/3od

@SnarkyPlatypus Odd that you should say that precisely as I received two media releases about consumer electronics…

@thornae I wasn’t a national show, only went to air in Adelaide.

via TweetDeck in reply to thornae

@thornae No don’t stress, this was not mainstream music in 1990 by any means. It was very much in the subcultures, plural.

via TweetDeck in reply to thornae

I’ve just fixed all the links in Club Escape’s “Perfect List” from 1990. http://arseh.at/3o9
