“Webinar” [ugh!] on BYO Computing from @technologyspec tomorrow 1200 AEST. https://www1.gotomeeting…

via TweetDeck

Are you sure it’s 4pm? How can that be right?

via TweetDeck

@expectproblems I blame you, personally, for me having made another pot of coffee. Because of course I am not in control.

Says @TurnbullMalcolm to me, “You obviously weren’t a fan of The Village People.” Context to be revealed in next week’s “Patch Monday”.

via TweetDeck

“Patience is a virtue.”

via TweetDeck

@DanielJMichael I think we all know Tony Abbott is clueless about Teh Internetz, but I’m trying not to go too petty-political in this one.

via TweetDeck in reply to DanielJMichael

RT @jeamland: Do you have the candles and mood music ready? And the cigarettes for after? [Massage oil and a couple of joints?]

via TweetDeck

Well @TurnbullMalcolm will be calling at any moment now, so thanks for your various suggestions. I’ll see how we go.

via TweetDeck

@juhasaarinen No, not referring to at all in this context. /cc @Asher_Wolf @garthk

via TweetDeck

Thank you, @KimmiCFlatWorld, for reminding me of Vint Cerf’s comments on the NBN. http://arseh.at/9r1

via TweetDeck

RT @Asher_Wolf: Journalists made journalism weaker by refusing to get out on the streets & actually interview people. [True dat.]

via TweetDeck

RT @purserj: And what will you do if he mentions {super, ultra} fast broadband? [I’ll present him with my challenge to never do it again.]

via TweetDeck

@rorybaust I think we’re agreed on the effect. It’s just not Twitter’s “fault” but the humans IMO. /cc @FelineBred

via TweetDeck

Preparing myself for by 1430-ish conversation with @TurnbullMalcolm about that NBN thing. Should be fun.

via TweetDeck

No, @rorybaust, journalists made journalism weaker by treating Twitter-gossip as a news source.

via TweetDeck

rorybaust I think Twitter has actually made journalism weaker , checking the trends on Twitter is not journalism else we are all journalists :-)

@MattSainsb I have no idea what you mean by “my census data and my reality are worlds apart”. Possibly this is the wrong place to ask.

via TweetDeck in reply to MattSainsb

@MattSainsb Yes, you’ve missed the entirety of longitudinal surveys by the ABS. They use Census data to validate the samples.

via TweetDeck in reply to MattSainsb

@MattSainsb A snapshot of basic demographic and related information is “pathetic”? FFS, you have to START with that!

via TweetDeck in reply to MattSainsb

Oh, I see why Twitter has just gone so stupid. It’s lunchtime. People can’t move their jaws and think at the same time.

via TweetDeck

I see the types are hijacking the UK riots as fodder for their “theories” about their own importance to the world.

via TweetDeck

Gawd no, @MattSainsb, the LAST thing we need is more goddam opinion polls!

via TweetDeck

RT @chrisjrn: An opinion poll is a census if it requests the opinion of 100% of the population… [No, still just opinions, not facts.]

via TweetDeck

If I see one more fuckwit’s “amusing” tweet of suggested Census questions that confuses a census with an opinion poll… aaargh! FFS!

via TweetDeck

It appears there’s some Liberal media release about the NBN that wasn’t sent to me.

via TweetDeck

I also want a Bloody Mary.

via TweetDeck

I really want to slap someone now. Slap them hard.

via TweetDeck

Accidentally reading idiocy by some arsehat Randroid who thinks a scattergun of slogans and lurid metaphors makes up for rational analysis.

via TweetDeck

@Wyane @mediahunter OK, you two should definitely stop now. At least until the sun sets.

via TweetDeck

@mediahunter Are you sure you really want to use the words “sticky” and “intern” in the same sentence? At least in public?

via TweetDeck in reply to mediahunter

RT @sylmobile: Why has my phone lost all my custom ring tones? [Because it decided you should have some self-respect.]

via TweetDeck

Bloody hell. Nancy Wake has died. http://arseh.at/9qx

via TweetDeck

Agreed, @purserj, the rule should apply to all politicians. I’ll ask Senator Conroy separately.

via TweetDeck

Could I get @TurnbullMalcolm to commit to never saying “ultra-fast” or “super-fast” ever again, and use only actual units of measurement?

via TweetDeck

RT @BundyB: I ate mustard that was 5-6 years past date and am yet to die or become a super mutant. [Um, we’re all too kind to tell you.]

via TweetDeck

RT @jplonie: And the lime means no scurvy. It’s like a veritable health snack. [Exactly! What could possibly go wrong?]

via TweetDeck

Nah it’s always OK if it has chilli in it, @engochick. Chilli kills all germs, everybody knows that.

via TweetDeck

It’s called “Thai Chilli Lime Hommus” (WTF?). It’s 10 days past expiry. I have eated it. Further updates as digestion proceeds.

via TweetDeck

RT @GT_DJ: getting a tank filled with CO2 is a lot harder then u think if u don’t have a Diving Licence. [So YOU create global warming!]

via TweetDeck

RT @mrgrumpystephen: Do I recall correctly that you use ecamm Call Recorder for Skype? Would you recommend it? [Yes. And very yes.]

via TweetDeck

Maine judge rules bank not liable for fraudulent transaction, password + secret question is OK. http://arseh.at/9qr

Wed plan: Manage client webby work; research for, record, edit @TurnbullMalcolm NBN interview; some writing, possibly; quiet night.

via TweetDeck

@trib Agreed, @TurnbullMalcolm knows his stuff, and that’s part of why I’ll enjoy the conversation. We can move beyond petty politics.

via TweetDeck in reply to trib

The @TurnbullMalcolm interview will be in the “Patch Monday” podcast, @miss_shiny, though there may be a written article somewhere too.

via TweetDeck

I’m quite looking forward to talking with @TurnbullMalcolm later today about NBN and the Coalition’s broadband plans.

via TweetDeck

Current temperature 2.2C, apparent temperature -2.8C. I choose to not go outside just now.

via TweetDeck

@dmflower Happy birthday. Let’s see whether you make it to 50. ;)

via TweetDeck in reply to dmflower

I declare this “Wednesday”, and may God bless all who sail in it.
