@expectproblems This may be so but, to be clear, I do not want your girlfriend.
I wish MY life had a laugh track.
I’m not the one with the dog.
@jonoabroad Neither of those things will be happening, alas, because by day’s end the fatigue hit me again.
@jasonlangenauer True. I would never judge someone’s unclothed behaviour with a dog.
@jasonlangenauer What heat?
@jasonlangenauer Why are you naked with then dog?
Conveniently, yesterday the Attorney-General launched a new pocket Constitution! @jasonlangenauer @Pollytics http://arseh.at/43l
Hang on, why would anyone bootleg a Coldplay CD? Like, WHY?
@NewtonMark Good to hear. I hope you got the number of whoever built it from the kit, too. ;)
@NewtonMark Congrats, though I didn’t realise you’d bought a tail-dragger. Was the ferry flight a happy one?
As the sun sets, I arrive back at the cottage.
@Wyld There seems to be a lot of interest in “cloud” by governments, I guess for cost reasons.
My work in Sydney is done. Unless I get good suggestions very soon I shall take the next train back to Wentworth Falls.
Just finished a great chat with the guys from new Australian cloud provider ninefold.com, interesting stuff. More on that soon.
@BernardKeane In South Australia, we had special procedures. Have I mentioned the one about the rent boy and cocaine in the Speaker’s chair?
While you’re watching Question Time, thieves are stealing your underwear from the clothes line and mutilating your cattle.
“Next: Is your liver toxic?” Ah, where would we be without “Dr Oz”? Apparently they’re visiting Kansas City, Missouri. Lucky them.
No matter what the scenario, a talkback radio host can always tell you how they’d have handled it better.
@jonoabroad I’m fairly sure you’re not the rude woman I encountered earlier. Though…
I have The Package.
I’m tempted to do a special edition of “The 9pm Edict” podcast just to tell this story.
Laughing at entitled arsehats.
@Gwyntaglaw Please pass on to your friend my gratitude for building such lovely cottages. I’m enjoying my stay there. And it shall continue.
@dsturnbull That’s a long daily haul. I hope you had company for it?
@akent Your tip would be spot on, and thank you, except that I haven’t revealed everything in my itinerary. ;)
The consensus, in any useful sense, is no. Thank you all.
Dear Railway Enthusiasts, is a Blue Mountains line car number 8113 likely to have a power point somewhere?
There’s a post on my website that explains why I’m in Wentworth Falls, 3 or 4 posts back. ‘Scuse me if I don’t rehash all that.
I appear to be the youngest person waiting at Wentworth Falls station.
Mobile: Walk to Wentworth Falls; train to Central; train to Stanmore; errands via bus as previously listed. It will be a very mobile day.
Thu plan: 0930 train to SYD; errands Enmore, Newtown, Pyrmont; 1400 lunch Circular Quay; 1500 meeting; remainder TBA; train to mountains.
I agree, @jasonlangenauer, more thinking time is a bonus. But it drives @infoholic mad. Maybe we shouldn’t let him think too much.
@kcarruthers Kelly’s? I don’t actually go there very often. There’d be other spots I’d put higher on the list.
Two hours on a train each way each day as a commute seems… silly. But I would never judge someone else’s life choices.
@kcarruthers So far it’s been a pleasant change of scenery while doing a typical few working days. Whether it tempts longer-term… dunno.
I will be popping down to Sydney today, for errands and appointments. Is a 2-hour train journey still a “pop”?
Or possibly it was the Blue Mountains Panther. http://arseh.at/42p No proof it’s roaming near Lithgow ‘cos it’s at Wentworth Falls!
Maybe it was a dropbear, as @franksting suggests. Do they scratch at doors?
Emerges. Wondering what that scratching sound was in the middle of the night. Whatever it was, it didn’t get into the cottage and kill me.
