Let’s kick off 2021 properly with a bunch of stuff including The 9pm Autumn Series 2021, more episodes of The 8pm Quiz, and perhaps even more podcasts.
Yes it’s all happening! I’ve just launched a Pozible crowdfunding campaign for The 9pm Autumn Series 2021.
Hit the first target and you’ll get five episodes of The 9pm Edict podcast with special guests during March and April. Hit the second target and you’ll get three more.
I’ll announce further targets after that. There may be more one-on-one guests episodes. Or if we can go to the pub again there might be a Public House Forum. Or maybe even a special and disturbing livestreamed episode. Stay tuned!
Already pencilled in and ready for dates to be confirmed are:
- Carol Duncan, multimedia producer, former broadcaster, and Newcastle City Councillor.
- Cartoonist Cathy Wilcox, who was previously on the pod in 2016.
- Elise Thomas, “freelance journalist, OSINT analyst, and observer of internet weirdness”.
- Artist and cartoonist Jon Kudelka.
- Philosopher and reprobate Patrick Stokes.
And there’s more guests in the pipeline. Consider this to be just part of the selection. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Announcing “The 8pm Quiz” Series Two
Following the success of of The 8pm Quiz pilot series I’ve decided to give it another go, though I don’t quite have to time to do it weekly just yet.
So The 8pm Quiz S02 will bring you five livestreamed episodes at 8pm Sydney time on the third Thursday of each month starting 18 February, then 18 March, 15 April, 20 May, and 17 June.
I’ll add in further dates when I have the brainspace and the budget — so supporting the Pozible campaign will help.

I hope to produce a just-me episode of The 9pm Edict once a month in any event, including and end-of-summer episode before the end of February, but I’ll announce those dates another time.
